Anyone thinks Adept is way overpowered in SP, especially imported from ME2?

You know - gives a feeling "I'm a biotic God!" and stuff... Before played Inflitrator (also imported) on the same difficulty - was quite fun&tough, I for example had to sweat a little to kill 2 Banshees in Ardat-yakshi monastery, and now - its plain and simple Warp+Throw spam. Anyone agrees or I just cant play other classes right?

The 2 powerhouses in ME3 are the Adept and Vanguard. I believe the Vanguard takes the throne for the most overpowered class in ME3 (end game) because they are basically invincible teleporting biotic bombs, yes, they can teleport nearly everywhere and set off Nova and they are invincible most of the time while doing so....

I thought removing protections from ordinary mobs on all difficulties is well enough to adress the issue, so you can do "singularity-warp" combo to blow through the shields of tough guys. And now biotics are God, since doing such insane combos with tech is much harder, and weapons... they just suck.
BTW I find i rarely use wealons altogether, and generally for putting down "almost dead" troopers/cannibals or denting a shield of occasional Atlas while my powers recharge.
P.S. Anyway I doublt it gets nerfed, theres a lot of tears on the forums as it is, no need to add sad ppl who got "their overpower taken away"

I mostly agree. I think the only major issue I had with the ME2 Adept is that they had to radically alter their playstyle in the jump between Veteran and Hardcore. Higher difficulty levels should challenge you more, not force you to play totally differently - the fact that it wasn't much cop compared to the OP things like Soldiers wasn't that important, since I wasn't playing two classes at once.
Now, I find the Adept a much more interesting class. I must be simple or an idiot or something.

You are right, that the thing where it is really matters is PvP, but basically , if I do want to play different classes they should be relatively balanced, I for example doublt I'll play soldier now, after comparing weapons with powers and their combos
@ JaegerBane Well I too found adept interesting

I give a damn particularly when the class I've been using for all the games (soldier) gets nerfed. (AR weaker than in ME2, stupid new weight system, assault rifles being pea shooters).

Well compared to the biotic explosion even Black Widow V fired from cloak with max infiltrator bonus is peashooter
P.S. Soldier in fact needs buff, so he can carry a pair of the big guns (like Widow+Revenant), not being in red at all.

If you want, take any points out of Throw or Pull. That will increase the challenge a bit.

You can shred anything in SP easily with any class.

Now it's much better that i learned how to warp throw them, still kinda frustrating though with how much they dodge all over, but throw turned out to be a much better skill than i gave it credit for.

It was my favorite class but I got frustrated with it on insanity, but that got better when i learned more about how biotic detonations worked, i personally never used throw, i was singularity warping everything. so i got frustrated when it came to shielded targets.

I substituted warp for reave (instant cast, aoe effect, and you can't dodge it) combine that with cluster grenades/throw and it is easily the most op class starting out and importing. My fave.

I know this isn't the multiplayer forum but hitting adrenaline rush while using the striker is awesome.

Maybe soldiers need some sort of passive damage increase while using assault rifles or something. Or just when using weapons, flat out. I still feel that insanity overall was easier than in the previous two games. This being me playing vanguard with no points in Nova until I hit ~lvl 58 and even I still didn't have it keybinded.

Seriously? I find ME1 to be the easiest in the series. Of course it is tough at first but after a couple NG+ when you are level 60 and have all the bonus power, best armor, mods and weapons.... Shepard is God.

I don't think judging the game based on levels and equipment most people will never attain makes sense. If you're not playing NG+, then the game gets ridiculously easy only towards the end and only if you've chosen particular builds.

I completely agree with this. All the other classes are ridiculously powerfull while the soldier got annoyingly underpowered. All a soldier have now is Adrenaline Rush, which can be used every 20 seconds or so. Meanwhile, adepts can use their powers after barely a second, throw detonations all around, and finish a battle on insanity in 10 seconds. Now thats annoying.

That said, weapon based classes scale better with weapon upgrades. So if you do a NG+ with a soldier on Insanity, Level X weapons make it embarrassingly easy. I do think Soldiers should get more base carrying capacity though.
This is essentially my complaint as well. In order to use a Solider effectively, you need to really limit your weapon loadout. Using only the Revenant and the Viper (one of the lighter sniper rifles) you can get Adrenaline Rush down to about 5-7 seconds depending on weapon level and Shadow Broker upgrade. That's what I wound up doing, but I really wish I could have more weapons in my toolbox without my CD getting painfully low.HagarIshay wrote...

Ppl want to play soldier and have every weapon strapped on with no cool down.
So I did some figuring last nite . . . I could equipe my Shep with a Smg ,heavy pistol, AR and shotgun with a +100% cooldown , of course I had to play around with the combo and I had come up with the disciple, pladain, lotus and Avenger all upgraded to V.
Thats with out taking the extra weapons capacity evolution, had I taken it I would be in even better shape

The weapon weight system effectively restricts the Soldier, Infiltrator, and Vanguard to one heavy weapon (such as the Claymore, Revenant, or Widow) and one lighter weapon; while the caster-oriented Adept, Engineer, and Sentinel are restricted to two lighter weapons, or an SMG and a slightly heavy weapon.
It may have made more sense to just outright restrict all classes to 2 weapons (like in multiplayer).
