The emotion wasn't conveyed correctly .... they should shown extra cutscene that Liara is not coming back to Normandy and desires to be like Anderson .... that Shepard forced to convince her or leave her behind ... possible death .... because she was just complete emotional collapse ... didnt make sense when Shepard sees Earth is like .. damn Gotta bring help

Why don't you people stop the "whining" for a change? Maybe Liara is more emotional than a character like Garrus? Stop complaining about it, I've seen tons of threads with this or a similar topic.
I got certain reasons I don't like James as well. Do I open a complaining-thread about him every day? No.

Tali commits suicide when pretty much the same thing happens to her. You also have to remember that unlike Shepard and Garrus, Liara's a civilian, not a trained soldier.

...I don't complain about food because I know I have it luckier than most people. Also, if I'm at a resturant my orders are so simple that it would take someone with STML to forget it. She just needs to soldier on man. She's not dead, she gets to fight another day. Which is more than most of the population of Thessia can say.

You do realise that you're whining about Liara whining, right? You're saying that she should soldier on. However, you are making posts on the forums about her whining. It surely sounds hypocrital to me...

If anything I always thought that Liara was way to stand-off ish after Thessia got steamrolled. Just like all other people with their respective homeworlds.

Yes I couldn't possibly imagine how a civilian scientist could ever be more emotional and unprepared for death and tragedy than trained soldiers.
