Yep...

So the BSN is Francis from Left4Dead? It all makes sense now.

Last time I check, Shepard nearly lost it after Earth fell. And after the VS was hospitalized, Shepard nearly lost it again.. Also, Garrus know how to hide his feelings very well.

You have been posting A LOT of threads lately. Most threads have been complaining about people complaining. Nice logic.

And sure it doesn't make sense for a scientist/broker to be a little less familiar with death and destruction than lifetime soldiers, now does it? No, of course not, because you are not thinking logically. Liara is also a woman. Women are full of emotions. Especially when their planet is being obliterated and they are not used to seeing things like that. Stop whining, it is you who are annoying.

To be honest though, it did annoy me everytime we killed a Banshee she would get all upset saying "that used to be a person!" I just wish my Shepard would shout "what do you think all those husks we've killed used to be!? Or those Marauders!? Am I complaining? Is Garrus? No! So for the love of god, stop whining and deal with it!"

WTF are you talking about? There's whole scenes with Garrus and the Primarch whining. Just cause one has a female voice and the other is male. You guys won't last long in marriage. /rant

That's assuming they make it that far.

He's obviously deaf. When Liara first saw Palaven on the holo vid as they were descending to its moon, her reaction was "Oh no! Palaven!". She was worried about Garrus and felt terrible for his people. She also apologized numerous times to Shepard for what happened to Earth and tried to be there for him. What do you expect her to be like when Thessia is finally attacked? "Oh well, it had to happen sometime. Hey look I went over there with my mom when I was very young! Look its being completely obliterated and people are being annihilated! Huh, no big deal. Let's keep moving, Shepard." Right.

"Oh my planet just fell and my people are being turned into monsters! Woe is me!" Newsflash Liara: that just happened to all of us, and it was just as traumatic. Buck up, move on, and get revenge.

The biggest issue is she's so sorry that it happened to Earth and Palaven. You would think she would have some idea of the horror she was about to see.

Right, expressing an opinion is annoying. Whatever. If you look at, like, my last 5 threads four of them are just BS "just for fun" threads. I want to see peoples opinions on some stuff, whatever. Honestly, she's seen and experienced some messed up stuff. Regardless if she's a woman, she's more armed to prepare for this stuff than most. Also, calling people names is no way to inject yourself into a conversation.

I did not call you a name. Expressing opinions is fine, but your OP did not come off as just an 'opinion' but rather a 'bash'. People just don't like it when you continually bash their favorite characters. There is a very good reason Liara acts the way she does, and many people have outlined what that is several times so far. If that isn't good enough for you, then I'm not sure what you're looking for.

Not trying to be hostile to you, btw... just don't understand what your point is really. People are defending Liara and explaining her actions and emotions, yet you still seem to deny them. Regardless, Liara is not used to galactic devastation, and definitely not used to her home being obliterated. She has not seen war like the other soldiers in her crew have. It is only natural that she would have a different and more empathetic and 'in shock' view.

If you still don't understand her or don't like her, that's your opinion. But let it go... No need to drag everyone else down into a pit of trying to explain things to you that you will never agree with.

Funny how people symphatizing with Liara for having her planet attacked, would torch Earth in a heartbeat.

Different character, different situation.

Strange that people like the fact that Mass Effect has a variety of different characters and yet some people don't like it when one acts differently.

Yeah, she was pretty upset, I was actually surprised, but she isn't Garrus, and this is Palaven, or Earth. BioWare make a point of telling you that Thessia is lost. Palaven is still fighting, holding out somewhat, and Anderson still lives on with the resistance on Earth. There's no help coming for Liara's home, to them, their only hope was finding the Catalyst, and that was denied.

While people made very valid points in Liara not being a soldier I was trying to point out that she's not necessairly innocent. She's had to fight husks before, and she took down the Shadow Broker. I just guess I expected her to be more hardened since she's been through so many battles. She didn't react the way I expected her to, I guess that's my problem.

Let's see....

-She just saw her home fall
-She told many asari to stay and fight so we could get to the temple and win the war, which failed because of Cerberus, thus ALOT of asari who could have got to safety died
-She is not military, she is civilian
-She just found out her whole culture was a complete lie and her own Mother lied to her her whoel life
-Liara has always been sensitive

Yes Liara "whining after one oft he most tragic events in her life is so bad. *rollseyes*

Who said she is innocent. Anyone paying attention would see that she is not. But the fact remains that you don't need to be innocent to be shakened by the fall of your own people and home world. And don't even try to pull the, female angle. That has nothing to do with it. Men can be as emotional as woman and women an be as harden as men.

Two years ago, human colonies were attacked by geth with all of its population being slaugthered or turned into Husk.
Then it was the Collectors who kidnapped, liquified or Huskified hundreds of thousands of humans.
Then Earth fell and the Reapers had a buffet on it while the asari were too busy hiding the technology that could have stopped them sooner. Once again, millions of humans harvested or turned into monsters.
Not to mention all of the refugees Cerberus turned into Indocrinated troops that have been figthing and dying across the galaxy.

Liara should shut the hell up. No one has suffered like humanity.

So Liara's more emotional than Shepard and Garrus.. Which you know makes sense. Shepard's a badass, Garrus is a soldier and was a C-Sec officer. Liara was a shy, isolated young Asari.

I did think it was ironic that she complains about the Banshees when we have to kill about 100 humain husks to get 1 Asari husk. But I mean come on. I forgave her, its a lot more devastating when its ur own ppl. She was scared and was just emotional. Which is one of the reasons I like her.

Way to putyour foot in your mouth. Who's arguing about what the asari feels in general. We are talikng about the feelings of one of our closes alies. You know, the one who is the reason we are still alive.
Liara doesn't equal asari government. She has no say in that.
She did not even know about it.
She can't be held account. As well as every arasi not involved in the higher government, which is the vast magority. So really, you comment is just you being an ass.

Well hate to sound like Ashley in ME1 but if your running from a bear and the only way yo escape is to throw your dog at it.. You love ur dog but well, it isn't humain. Now im not racist but come on.

When you hear on the news of all these animals that get slaughtered and killed it hurts a little but when you hear about the 9/11 attack it stings alot more.

Liara a civilian? She is the Shadowbroker, not some little girl on the street. Liara has killed many people and is clearly skilled at doing so. She was on Mars when Earth was hit and saw Palaven burning and has been fighting Human, Turian, Baterian, Krogan/Turian husks for some time.

Yet she flips her lid when she sees Asari husks and wont shut up about how horrible it is HER homeworld was hit when she is standing next to a Human and Turian.

I'm referring to Thessia
