Step 2- Gear Check
If I see adepts or sentinals carrying around sniper rifles and claymores (or both at once), I cry inside a little and bail if the rest of the team has flaws. If the only weapon a soldier is carrying an Avenger I, I pretty much also get ready to leave. If anyone is so new that they do not have mods on their guns, that is also a red flag. If I see an Infiltrator with one gun and its sporting a mele mod, yeah its time to look for another group.

I have to say that I think the mod check is going a little too far unless it's Gold.  On silver and bronze weapon mods are not really needed at all if it's a competent player using a decent weapon.  However, I did see a guy the other night sporting a GPS with a Pistol Rail Amp.  I thought that was an interesting combination......

^ mismatch equipment -  That happened to me.  I applied equipment, then changed my class due to lobby make-up and no longer had a pistol equiped, its not that hard to forget.

I am talking about people who use a pistol and do not even have the extended clip or barrel damage slotted.  The choice to use one game equipment is entirely at the discression of the player, in my view.  There is no excuse for not having something in each of the two weapon mod slots, however.

How about not getting any?

I only have around 4 mods for my weapons (In total) and I have played from day 1. The game gives me everything but weapons and mods so stop assuming.

Bronze, anything goes of course.

Silver, if N7 is under 60 AND player character under level 10 AND crazy loadout, kick.

Gold, if N7 is under 60+character not level 20+not good loadout, kick. If N7 under 200+character under level 10, kick. If human vanguard joining a match instead of hosting, kick.

I believe about 80% of people with N7 under 100 trying gold, end up being disasters. You are doing newbies a FAVOR by kicking them out of gold games. Today I played a gold game where I rerzzed a N7 57 level 20 human engineer somewhere between 45-60 times. Most people aren't that bad, but you'd be surprised just how crazy some newbies can get.

News flash bud.

Everybody is a  noob their 1st time at trying something. You where a noob once, if you want experience players teach them how to play instead of kicking them.

this is true....BUT....no one shoudl be a noob trying to do silver or gold, finish bronze with some consistency and then maybe go to silver....tired of seeing N7 level 15's with a level 5 vanguard trying to do gold....

Bronze is challenging enough for me so I have no place criticizing others. I do, however, want to carry my weight and much prefer to play as a team. Like previous posts, gameplay is the best way to evaluate a team member. Everyone has their own style, methods, and personality. I went to kick someone once when they wouldn't go green for minutes on end and didn't respond to requests to start. Seems harsh to me otherwise. I'll find another match if I am not having fun with the current group.

Then you really need to start buying Recruit and Veteran packs.  For someone who's been playing since day 1 you should have all the mods at least at level 3 by now.  I don't kick, for any reason, but you are doing yourself a diservice.

I understand the low N7 players with low level characters.

But why should I get kicked from a team which has N7 200+ each when I have N7 97 with a level 20 character? They play an promote a lot doesn't mean im going to be bad. It takes me 1 match on something new to figure out the best place to be and how to fight.

I mean I never biotics or engineers and now I have them unlocked I can use their powers like I have used them for months. (Only unlocked them this week).

Until 2 weeks ago I never bought anything recruit. Now I buy vetran packs and recruit packs I save up for vet ones and have 15k left for recruit so thats 3 packs.

Its not my fault if I don't get any. The game rarely gave me any new characters until 2 weeks ago when I got my 1st non human character and now they are rolling in. I have maybe 4 of each weapon type and 4-5 mods in total.

I would be more than happy to have more mods and weapons to pick from trust me, but im doing my best with what I get. I have like 1 ammo power left and a bunch of weapon upgrades I can't use because I don't use those weapons often enough or at all.

I don't care on Bronze.

On silver I usually don't care, but if they're a 1/1 (N7 1, Level 1) I'll try and talk them into trying out bronze first.

On gold I care. Less than level ~14, depending on class, and you are getting kicked. I'm sorry, but you just can't possibly have the class loadout to succeed. Exceptions will be made for high N7 levels due to (supposed) experience and for classes with, say, a Black Widow V or some other big gun to carry them through the mission.

I've been playing since near launch and I just got ULM yesterday, I still don't have the SMG extended barrel. I also still don't have the SI or a carnifex. I've bought a good mix of the 3 plus the PSP's when they are available.

you have to remember people in a random lobby dont know you and dont know your back story....you can be a low level character who just doesnt promote...its possible....but then if they look at your weapons and you are carrying an avenger III or something, then it makes it easier for them to say, "hey he doesnt have a lot of experience, kick him"

weapons you carry tell alot about you, it means you have earned alot of credits, so if you come in a lobby with a carnifex X or something, you might be worth taking on board (there is nothing worse then dying between waves 6-9 because you cant get to wave 10, which is the real money maker)

this is a game where if you dont finish wave 10 on gold, it is considered a colossal waste of time, i dont see it that way, each objective level to me is basically a difficulty level but with a faster time)

for me personally, i only kick people on gold, i can carry almost anyone on silver

If it's gold unknown/unknown 100+ N7 level, clas level 20 and loadout.
If it's FBW farming, class level 18+ except for SE (12+) and loadout. I don't like playing with level 1's no matter the N7 level.  Loadout is very important on power classes because I will switch to classes that compliment them to create the easiest tech bursts or biotic explosions. If my teammates have improper loadout it means that the switch will be in vain, and playing with them will suck. So I'll find another lobby.  Silver, bronze I don't do any evaluations.

Difficulty, character class (in regards to the rest of the team), character level, and then N7.

Even if my initial thought is to kick, unless one of my friends brings it up, I wait until after the match to decide whether or not they're someone to play with.

I've sent out more player reviews in the month and a half that I've played ME3 than the four years that I've had a 360.

I generally don't care unless I have two other friends in the group and we are actually going to play a serious match. Otherwise as long as they don't have crazy noises coming from their mic they're fine.

I check their character, check their weapons and mods, inevitably find myself sighing audibly, and hit the spacebar. If they really suck and we wipe, then I leave the game and find a new one. If they don't and we win, then I stick with them if they stay and find a new group if they don't.

But like I said with the other guy if the game doesn't give you the weapons or mods then im screwed. If I don't have weapons somebody likes I tell them I more than make up with it using my powers (Adept or engineer).

Besides that group I mentioned I barely got into the game before I head "kick him" and by the time the screen loaded for me I was kicked and just saw 3x N7 200+ guys.

and Like I said 3 other guys just said "Cool an adept" and that was that we played had fun and won. I did my part once I got used to what I was doing, putting up shields Pulling and exploding anything without sheild and armour.

I don't need a weapon to be a good player. For example I have been using a lvl 16 Geth Engineer and have been destroying the leader board and coming out at the top every time on silver. (yet to take him into gold).

Agreed, but those are power classes. Same can't be said if you're rocking a soldier or infiltrator.

class, class lvl, rank, weapon.
I tend to play even if all of those scream horrible though. But that's how I form an opinion before the game, and then see whether the game actually proves me right.

Oh god, some people have issues here. Why can't you people just have fun and let other people have fun however they want to? I mean there is nothing wrong with Adept who carries Claymore or sniper rifle. It doesn't matter what weapon/class combo a player is running with. As long as he has fun, let them do it.

Unless you plan on doing a speedrun(which I guess you have a team already) I can understand why'd you go with 200%+ CDR on Adept etc.

Otherwise, kicking someone just because of his weapon choice/level/class is just stupid and childish.

Fixed.  You could use 2 for every weapon but the SMG.

Yes, but the SMG extended barrel is the only thing you don't have unlocked.  I was only referring to the mods as they're pretty common.  Weapons are a different beast - My Carnifex is still only at 3 and I've bought a ridiculous amount of packs.

Level of the character. If you're some level 1 soldier, you're useless.
N7 level. If you haven't even hit n7 20 yet, then that's a clear sign that you're a noob.
Weapon loadout. Soldier with a widow and nothing else. Useless much?

Last but not least, choice of class. Choosing something like drell adept when there are no other adepts.

dude.  Lighten up.  You do not have to be level 20 to beat gold.  Level 15 and up is fine.

Actually I won some as a level 1 vanguard, and I am not a professional gamer, just a careful one when low level :)

no judgement here. i've played with level 700+ people who kept dying, and yet last night, I played with a level 1 N7 1 player and managed to make it through silver with me and a third player (the 4th quit at the beginning of the mission), without being a liability.
