I think they should. It would add emotional depth to extended cut jf your love interest played a major part in the "clarification dlc". What do you think?

What about in Priority:earth, assuming that there's more to it in extended cut. Can you see your LI having any kind of particular importance? Such as giving shepard emotional support or being especially important at a certain point?

I wonder this because in the current abomination of an ending I noticed shepard's 3rd flashback goes to his/her LI (even tho half the time it defaults to liara, attention to detal bioware...). This makes me wonder in EC will they play a part in the final battle possibly vs Harbinger?

It doesn't. in only goes to the LI if it's Liara or the VS. I'm almost more angry about that than about the ending as such, and that's saying something.

Not for me they shouldn't. Should they play a role? Of course, but a significant impact? Hell to the no.

LI's have been balanced perfectly so far - a good tool to development and expand upon a character's personality, their story and their relationship with Shepard, as well as giving shepard some extra development of his/her own.

However, they have never been a focal point of the story, nor have they been a focal point in general. Regardless of who Shepard romances, if anyone, the story is not impacted in any way.

I don't want it to suddenly be like "Hey, I had sex with Shepard, now look how pivotal of a role I play in the conclusion to the game." Should the LI's feature in an extended cut? Of course, just as I would expect Shepard to share a touching scene with his bro Garrus.
