What If someone played without a LI? It'd be damn rare but maybe some people have... Either way great topic.

Yep, I hope the LI isn't the only thing they focus on, I ditched everyone in my last playthrough because I can't stand the male romance options anymore. Seriously, Steve is the only one I like and I'm not into that kind of thing. He's still awesome though, best pilot ever.

btw: I want a Legion romance DLC. Screw xenophilia, I want real strong steel shoulders.

Obviously yes. LI brings deep moments to the storyline that cause a great impact in the player's emotions. I really don't know what got in the brains of the writers when they decided to not adress the LI at all whatever is the ending.

That some pre-set characters appear the same in all the endings regardless of your level of involvement with them is just a final insult to every player and to the ME franchise itself.

The conversation with LI in london was on the right track, but they cant just stop there. A lot of potential to evoke strong feelings within the player in that final mission with LI.

Something like this (FemShep/Garrus) would be nice.

Giving us a chance to be re-united with Ashley so that her and Shepard may have a future together can be just enough for me to forgive the inclusion of StarBrat.

Mutant or blue offspring? How about good ol' fashioned human babies? Lol

There should be a scene with your LI pulling Shepard out of the rubble and they embrace, oh wait my Shepard can't since Joker stole her and flew away like a coward -_-

Exactly. We need to be inspired and strength renewed by our LI at some point in priority: earth.

I'm not sure Bioware was aware of the importance of the LI's to the fans. I think alot of people may have kept playing the series to see a conclusion to what was a minor love story, to a broad epic.

Here's a question, would lord of the rings had a good ending if there was no mention of aaragorn and his LI? (sorry can't remember her name).

II like this one... I remember the first time I saw it, I was hoping the ending would reflect something like this for every character romance in the game.

Alas, we instead got "Artistic integrity"...

Not really, but LotR wasn't sold with the big promise of love stories and "sex scenes". The whole human (or xeno?) element in ME is a big selling point and BW should know that fans demand it. Or to put it simple: compare the posts about blue babies with posts about illogical plot holes. Guess what, blue babies are more important than logic. ^^

I'm glad my Shep died as single. ;)

It FELT like there was enough Garrus, mostly. I mean, I did take him on the final run. More would always be welcome, but hey. I know the Garrusmancers got the best romance in the series and spoiled rotten in 3.

I need more Thane on my sentinel playthrough. Even if it's Thane's lines flashing through her head in her memories or something. MORE. THANE.

The default liara flashback in the final scene in the game must have been a developer oversight (plenty if those in the game *ahemtali'sface). The quality of the game really started to decline in those final moments, followed by a nonsensical ending and 0 closure. The game didnt end as much as it just...stopped, like a movie directing just yelling CUT to reshoot a scene because an actor slipped and fell.

Yeah, it's really disgusting and pathetic how BSN is so preoccupied with the Romances. I don't even think they're that good to begin with - just a few lines of dialogue and BAM! - "I'm so in love with you!". I predicted a while back that there'd be far less complaining about the ending if it let you get with your LI, even if all the plot holes and deus ex machinas were still intact. Obviously, I hope that the Extended Cut doesn't dwell on this subject.

QFT

But I'll add that I want my assassin back and let him live on Intai'Sei with Shep. Complete with green babies of course
(Me want Happy Ending? LalalalaImage IPB)

And that flashback...fix it BW. Fix it. For all lovers of ME2 romances and team dextro. Fix it.
