Clearly, buy a PC or Xbox.

Yeah, we're excluded from this one as well guys.

Just fired off an e-mail to Amazon expressing my interest to return the game, I'll see how that goes.  I feel I've given Bioware/Sony more than enough time to resolve this.  As much as I enjoy MP I'm just getting frustrated at this disgusting treatment of an entire section of the playerbase and the longer it goes on the angrier I get at myself for tolerating it.

I just sent a similar letter to GameStop.
"I would like to inquire about returning Mass Effect 3 on PS3, for it is a defective product. I bought the game under the guise that it was a complete, same as all other versions game. However, I am once again being excluded from events that allows me to enjoy my game. I have contacted EA/BioWare and Sony, and neither will help, they blame each other for the PS3 version not working correctly as 360 or PC. What are my options, besides trading in, since again clearly the PS3 version is faulty."

Your main option would be to vote with your dollar in the future and stop buying Bioware products on the PS3, if at all. It's a harsh measure but seriously, I have lost all faith in this company that I once cared a great deal for. I'm not even sure if I could even bring myself to purchase a Dragon Age 3 if/when it ever comes out. As a customer who has supported Bioware for years I want to believe that they aren't this greedy company that doesn't care at all about their customers but they are making it near impossible not to see it that way.

Definitely this, but also sending an email to gamestop along the lines of the above user.

If you have time, go file a complaint with the FTC. Takes about 10 mins at most. https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

I filed my complaint against BioWare and EA, stating they purposely sold us defective software, after advertising that our version is the same. I used http://www.computera...e-says-bioware/ as a link for reference.
Bioware states in the story: "Discussing Mass Effect 3's arrival in March next year, BioWare marketing boss David Silverman told CVG: "This is the first time that all three platforms have shipped at the same time and it will be an amazing adventure whatever platform you play it on. I don't think you'll see a difference between the Xbox version and the PS3 version. There's no drop in quality on either.""

I am done being screwed over. If there was an issue with the PS3 version and Sony, they NEVER should of sold it as being the same as other versions. They deliberately sold us bad goods, which is an offense with the Federal Trade Commission.

Just wondering if FTC complaints are an option for non-US residents. I'm happy to go to the Department of Fair Trading where I live, but I think that Bioware will pay more attention to an FTC complaint, especially if more people make them.

What? Bioware is continuing to screw over PS3 users as they've always had? This is so surprising...

Its like wanting Optimus Prime but getting scooter the Go-bot. Its like being Snarf during a fight with Mum-ra. We are the Jar Jar's of Biowares universe.

From what I have read it is Sony's fault.

its not Bioware's fault, cmon guys, its clearly Sony's fault, i mean, they dont allow Bioware to run the same event as Xbox and PC, i have no idea why, maybe its related to the hacking thingy last year? or 2 years ago? i dunno :(
but i am really disappointed... i mean, we bought the game, and are treated terribly... Sony owe us big time for ruining this awesome game

Think about it, many other games have similar bonus events on the PS3. What is the only requirement to participate in these ME3 weekends - tracking data. Data not dissimilar to "Partial extraction on Silver = xxxx credits and xxxx exp". Certainly there is more to just that in these special weekends but simple game data should not be a barrier for Sony to offer the bonus too.

Extrapolating from the TOS of Origin on PC and the recent hack of PSN last year, I would expect that the tracking data consists of more than just 'phantom kills' (conspiracy Keanu says demographic details, purchasing habits etc for marketing purposes). For Sony it represents a potential exploit and thus they are reluctant to agree.

Also notice how Bioware have maneuvered in each press release. They do the following, shift the blame to Sony, say they are working on it and offer PS3 players no 'compensation'. It would not be difficult to say sorry PS3 players, no special weekend but here's 25% extra exp. As is evidenced by the general feeling on message boards, and a visible shift in blame from Bioware after the first event to Sony now, they have succeeded.

Other games have evenets, so no, really.

Looks like EA wanted some data off PSN (about gamers) and Sony said that they are not going to give them.

The issue lies in whether Bioware were aware of this at launch and, if so, why they didn't communicate it to the players. I'm fairly certain their sales would have suffered as a direct result but I'm sure that in no way influenced their actions.
