Operation IGNORE PLAYSTATION  March 6th - Forever it would appear

When it comes to disregarding an entire community of gamers, Bioware has been beating the allied forces to the punch. New intelligence has tipped us off that once again we are being ignored with no legitimate response, and it is time to give the PS3 teams the compensation and attention we deserve.

Allied Goal: Kill 1,000,000 Cerberus Phantoms until server kicks you
Squad Goal: Survive until PS3 is included in special operations

Successful completion of the Allied Goal will grant all players an "Imagination Pack"
Successful completion of the squad goal awards an even more imaginative "Imagination Pack"

Operation Ignore Playstation will run from March 6th to whenever the hell Bioware decides to clear things up. Ignore Playstation will only be available on Playstation 3, we're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause Xbox, and PC users (you'll just have to suck it up and get all that free stuff)  Please remember to set “Upload Gameplay Feedback” to “on” in the online options to voice your complaints of Playstations lack of inclusion (we won't read them anyways)

Good luck on the same old battlefield with the same old rewards you always had.

Nice post. :D

As angry as I am about the whole situation I can't help but appreciate the spirit in which you posted it.

Here we go again. No reason why, no updates on allowing us to play. I really think the PS3 version should be treated like a faulty game. We should be able to get a refund for a non-complete version of the game, or a free trade in for PC or 360 version.

Welcome to Operation Resurgence, the next N7 Challenge Weekend!
This week we released our first multiplayer expansion, the Resurgence
Pack. This DLC added new maps, characters, weapons, and consumables. If
you haven’t had a chance to download it yet, make sure to grab it; it’s
available for no additional charge.
Firebase Condor and Firebase Hydra are available immediately. If you
download the Resurgence Pack and play this weekend you will be rewarded
with a Reserves Pack the following week, containing one new Resurgence
character.
This Operation is currently available to Xbox 360 and PC users only,
and will run from Friday, April 13th at 5PM PST to Monday, April 16th
5AM PST. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to offer our Multiplayer
Challenge weekends on PlayStation 3. Sony has not yet approved the
promotion. We continue to work with them to find a compromise, but until
then, Sony will not allow us to run the same Multiplayer Challenges on
the PlayStation 3 that we run on Xbox 360 and PC.

Hmm... I think the reason is obvious. Sony doesn't like events that run on the PC or Xbox at the same time as it runs on the PS3. Saying they didn't give a reason is silly because they wrote it right here in the Operation Resurgence post.   http://blog.bioware.com/2012/04/11/operation-resurgence/#more-4321

So i guess we either suck it up and ignore the fact that we will never see any n7 weekends or go to the 360 or pc. Its a shame really but what can we do except complain.

Hmm... you seem to have the game registered on Xbox. Why even bother posting here? Whoever is to blame doesn't matter something needs to be done. Get out of the ps3 tech support and go enjoy your free stuff or help us out by spreading the word. Why do you Xbox players have to come into every single one of these posts and try to stop us? We are all gamers here.

Sony does not want to give out information on their customers due to the hack that occurred last year, that is why PS3 players cannot particpate, it requires them to have a connection that is open so that Bioware can read your game data...

edit: ^^^^ Yes, exactly.  Sony aren't being stupid, they're looking out for their customers.

Plenty of other games have the same MP on PS3 as on 360.

I think the reason is obvious, too, but it's this: EA want more information than Sony is willing to give them.  EA probably want information such as your location, your gender, your age, what other games you play, and other "marketing research" data and Sony doesn't want to allow them access to that, since the PSN's TOS agreement is much less comprehensive than XBox Live's.

It's the only explanation that truly makes sense.  If the ONLY information that EA wanted was "how many guys you killed", there would be no issue, because guess what?  They already have that information!

Again Xbox player here. You would know this about Sony how? Please read my previous post. I'm tired of these threads getting derailed by pc and Xbox players! I want to have some fun during these events! Mass Effect 3 is a great game made by a great developer. They can make this work or make us happy somehow with or without Sony! This isn't about Sony it's about bioware and ea.

You don't have to be a genius to know that a company like EA wants to harvest as much data as possible from its customers for market research purposes. It's a common practice.

Read the new ToS..maybe a deal has been struck? See the part about PSN holding precedence over any EA ToS..

i think its got something to do with the packs, PS3 was included in an operation (Goliath i think it was) which rewarded participants with bonus xp. However all of the events which have given packs as a reward have not been included for PS3. Maybe Sony just doesn't want us to have free stuff :(

Yeah you go ahead and do that while I enjoy the game on my system of choice. I will not trade this game or my system just because of this. If its time for any operation it's Operation: PS3 from bioware.

Until I can play Yakuza and other Japanese games on a 360, I see no point in owning one.

Sorry, EA. Not everyone is addicted to First Person Paintball games.

I would be up for this is if it was Trade in for Full Price!
None of this $5 dollar (or whatever ridiculously low amount) BS.

I would even be open to just getting the PC version. Why did EAware sell us an incomplete product. You know what I would actually be willing to wait for the fix to this if whoever is to blame was named and fired. I am petty like that.

I'd like an option to mail EA my physical copy in exchange for a download of the digital copy, just to keep my blu-ray drive from constantly spinning.

Don't trade in! it solves nothing and this will happen all over again and maybe on all systems not just one. They can make this work and if they can't we can make them make it work. Them being Sony, EA, and/or Bioware. I like all of them but EA so that is hard to say but its the right thing to do.

We deserve an exclusivity announcement at the very least. This has gone on for too long. You sent the game to space I'm sure you can think of something awesome to make us happy Bioware!

That's not giving the reason why Sony hasn't approved it, that's just saying what's been said again. So no it's not silly. I want to know why Sony doesn't want to approve it. Saying "Its probably because" or "I think Sony doesn't approve because..." Is still speculation and doesn't give us any answers. Whatever the case may be for not approving these weekend events is something both parties don't want the public to know about. Which makes me think there is money involved and one of the parties greed isn't satisfied. Why else keep it from the public? Because it would cause another uproar, which they couldn't handle. Don't quote me though. It's really disturbing that they have not givin us ONE excuse as to why Sony won't give us the green light. Another thing is why are we as PS3 owners not compensated in some way from Bioware or EA? We paid the same price for this game, why not throw something our way?
