Welcome to Operation Resurgence, the next N7 Challenge Weekend!
This week we released our first multiplayer expansion, the Resurgence
Pack. This DLC added new maps, characters, weapons, and consumables. If
you haven’t had a chance to download it yet, make sure to grab it; it’s
available for no additional charge.
Firebase Condor and Firebase Hydra are available immediately. If you
download the Resurgence Pack and play this weekend you will be rewarded
with a Reserves Pack the following week, containing one new Resurgence
character.
This Operation is currently available to Xbox 360 and PC users only,
and will run from Friday, April 13th at 5PM PST to Monday, April 16th
5AM PST. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to offer our Multiplayer
Challenge weekends on PlayStation 3. Sony has not yet approved the
promotion. We continue to work with them to find a compromise, but until
then, Sony will not allow us to run the same Multiplayer Challenges on
the PlayStation 3 that we run on Xbox 360 and PC.
Hmm... I think the reason is obvious. Sony doesn't like events that run on the PC or Xbox at the same time as it runs on the PS3. Saying they didn't give a reason is silly because they wrote it right here in the Operation Resurgence post. http://blog.bioware.com/2012/04/11/operation-resurgence/#more-4321
I never said they hadn't purposed a reason, I said their lack of legitmate response which is completely accurate. Biowares lack of presence on the Playstation forums is frankly insulting towards the fans using this version that is "Exactly the same" and has "no differences" compared to the Xbox and PC versions. If their was as many Bioware employees posting on the PS3 forums as there are of you Xbox gamers, than we'd have some damn fine indepth answers.

Sony does not want to give out information on their customers due to the hack that occurred last year, that is why PS3 players cannot particpate, it requires them to have a connection that is open so that Bioware can read your game data...
Again Xbox player here. You would know this about Sony how? Please read my previous post. I'm tired of these threads getting derailed by pc and Xbox players! I want to have some fun during these events! Mass Effect 3 is a great game made by a great developer. They can make this work or make us happy somehow with or without Sony! This isn't about Sony it's about bioware and ea.
dude I have a PS3 also....there is no game in Sony's library that communicates with developers....not even COD or Battlefield....

Hey Plural, I have a PS3 but only own 4 games for it (including ME3) so honestly never been exposed to online events and such, are you saying that for COD and Battlefield there are not events created for the PS3 community? Are there events for these games created for the other consoles/pc?

Your point is invalid if you don't have me3 on ps3. This is the ps3 tech support for me3. If you dont have to deal with this issue dont even bother posting here. Also both of those games track stats extensively and do events.

Yes, of course. Microsoft have paid BioWare to allow PC & Xbox 360 users to get free stuff and exclude Sony from doing the same.WonderPhil wrote...
This is Microsoft's exclusive for this game. If sony would pony up the matching dough we could be included. If EA had not decided to accept money from microsoft to make exclude some of its fan base we would have been included from the beginning. All sides are holding us hostage and it sucks.
This isn't some Games for Windows Live title, if Microsoft had paid for an exclusive it'd be the Xbox 360 only.

This is what I take issue with. My game is still fun without the events but it is far less fun when it breaks and the only answer I get to why it is broken and how I might fix it is a deafening silence.NaturalCMYK wrote...

It is hard to pretend that they care about me or my gaming experience when we don't even get a "we'll have someone look into that"

After the reception that Priestly clown got last time he came here with his BS, I don't think any of them will come back.
They don't care and never have. I doubt they were ever even working with Sony to begin with. It's all about the money, not the fans, and we didn't bring them enough to be worth their time.
Note they didn't even say their usual "we continue to work with Sony to bring multiplayer events to PS3" this time...

Now BWare had at least more than a year to reach an agreement with Sony if we start counting counting from ME2 release, so how is that we ended in this situation.

That's not giving the reason why Sony hasn't approved it, that's just saying what's been said again. So no it's not silly. I want to know why Sony doesn't want to approve it. Saying "Its probably because" or "I think Sony doesn't approve because..." Is still speculation and doesn't give us any answers. Whatever the case may be for not approving these weekend events is something both parties don't want the public to know about. Which makes me think there is money involved and one of the parties greed isn't satisfied. Why else keep it from the public? Because it would cause another uproar, which they couldn't handle. Don't quote me though. It's really disturbing that they have not givin us ONE excuse as to why Sony won't give us the green light. Another thing is why are we as PS3 owners not compensated in some way from Bioware or EA? We paid the same price for this game, why not throw something our way?
