Does doing some matches with N7 ranks 800-2800 as an N7 rank 300 and out scoring them buy 70k and 50k count as carrying ?_?

Add Techryan and watch it happen.  you guys think it takes science to win gold with low levels. Its really not that hard. so i don't get why people think it cant be done.

Why are people hating on lower lvl's? I just played a gold match with 3 friends on my lvl 1 QI and we rocked it in 27 mins and i only needed to be res'd twice, with everyone else getting 3-4 res's each. People are quick to judge. I've seen N7<100 do waaaay better than N7>300. People need to chill the hell out.

Assuming you're not lying, you may also be a freak of statistical probability.

The reason why people don't like having low levels in a gold match is essentially why there are no midgets in basketball. Is it possible that the little guy can outscore all the other players on the team and carry everyone to victory. Yes. Absolutely.

How likely is it? Well, about as likely as Steve Urkle beating Tyson in a fist fight. Possible, but damned near inconcievable.

You guys give me a headache. Just because most people can't doesn't mean it can't be done at all. I've seen it done, i've been part of it. With your basketball analogy research spud webb and muggsy bogues. hell look at nate robinson now.  might be "inconcievable" to regular people, but it happens and it happens more times than you guys think.

Expected to be carried as I rarely even play silver, but did reasonably well. Lobbies invariably contained 1 "pro" and 3 average/bronzers (it's-a meee!). Pros stoically revived and wreaked havoc. No kicks to be found. No mics to be found. Full extraction on all three runs and only went down once, woo! The only bronzin' it up moment was a 13 QI who decided to solo approximately all of the mobs. Several revives and a "no, you stayin' dead" later they magically became a team player :-)

Now bronze is going to seem even more relaxing than ever. Thanks for my Eagle II (oh please oh please) y'all.

Did 5 runs last night. On the fifth two of my friends dropped out for dinner/sleep. So we opened up the other two slots to the public.

1 guy was N7 120 (but had a black widow V, so I assume he just didn't promote) and the other guys was an N7 30ish with a lvl 20 HV... we obviously didn't kick.

And yes me and my really good friend did carry the team BUT that N7 30 HV actually did really good... after the first wave when they discovered they aren't a superhero on Gold and can't play like on Bronze. Instead using Charge/Nova defensively for the team and to great effect.

I think it's pathetic that there needs to be a post on this. Seems pretty simple to me. Get four players. Play game

today I dressed up my HV and hosted a lot of gold cerberus public games (cerberus is uberhard with HV especially if you dont have biotic team8 to set explosions) never kicking anyone...It was awesome and I will actually start doing it from now on when i am tired of using weapon classes

Reporting that I successfully carried two completely incompetent party members (engineer and justicar) with a friend of mine to a successful gold completion.

Keep it up!

Score is as pointless as N7 rank, I have a high N7 rank, nearing 1000. But I don't spend my time trying to get every single kill or point. I choose a character that fits a team need and then help watch their backs. I just got out of a game where we were on the hack mission on wave 10 and I got us out of a jam of mobs in blue and people dieing all over by blowing 3 cobra missiles.

Did I end up with the highest score? No. Did you carry me because you got a higher score? NO!

Had 2 successful runs this morning! Entered a random/cerberus/gold lobby with 3 players n7~100 each. Their weapon loadouts/class choices made it pretty clear that they were from bronze or silver, but I was really impressed with how well they did ingame! They stayed close but didn't crowd each other, generally covered each others' flanks and didn't die very often.

All in all a pretty good run! Better than many FBWGG games I've been in >.> I'll try to get a few more in this weekend.

It doesn't mean anything in itself, but it is an indication.

As I said in an earlier post, since I am focusing mainly on keeping flanks clear and holding position instead of making sure to get kills I am often 3rd in points up until things start to get hairy at wave 4-5 or so.

Then the team starts to fall apart and I need to cover them and help them out more and I end up with the most points by a pretty wide margin.
The points tell part of the story.

You can get the highest score by far without carrying the team, the game just played out like that.
You can even get the highest score and be the one who is carried by the team!
I've played with people that get A LOT of kills but end up dying a lot and getting both themselves and the team into bad situations.

So yes, score in itself is pointless, but, that is not what this thread is about. :)

Score is not the point of this thread, but it has come up in the posts in this thread.

So when I was reading this thread and people were talking about N7 ranks and their scores I felt a need to defend people like that, such as myself. Not the point of the thread maybe, but where it was heading.

High N7 ranks are still helping you out, even if you outscore them if they are people like me!

I re read your post and I saw this. So what is it? An idication or pointless? Are you trying to argue both? I know I only took one critical thinking class in college, but the idea that something can be a pointless indication screams of some kind of logical fallacy.

EDIT: I read my post again, and I want to stress that I'm not angry or attacking. I'm smiling and questioning. I have a bad habit of comming off as a jerk on the interwebs ™. I'm not trying to be mean.

So i just carried my team. We were on Gold FBW vs Cerberus. One of our guys got nailed by a map bug and go stuck on the railings after wave 1. So me and the other 2 guys basically had to do each round, one man down.

We kept reviving our stuck guy for what it was worth but all he could do was AOE attack while he was trapped in one spot. Not very useful but at least he managed to distract things now and again when he wasn't too busy being dead.

Either way he somehow managed to get himself onto the launchpad and just as the final few seconds passed on Wave 11 we managed a full extraction.

My wee Salarian infiltrator had his work cut out constantly running round blasting Phantoms and reviving squadmates. It was a major coup when we pulled it off in the end :)

i only play gold and ive cleared it  4 times today. i prolly do need to chill but its irritating when your having fun and clearing gold with low lvls and a random comes in talkin **** that we cant do it. then we clear it and they go wow!! so hearing it on here too is just annoying. i play with 2 other friends and we have a system that works on just about any map. its just annoying when people say we cant when we do it whenever we promote.

I think most people here are just using the score to summarize what happened in the game, or maybe I am being to optimistic?

But that is how I have done it myself, it is easier to just refer to scores than it is to do a full on play by play and still get the same point across.

Well, you should've taken more classes then I guess. :)

An indication of something does not make it so.
Without more information a simple indication is pointless since you can't know if the indication is correct or not.

So, in itself it is pointless since the indication it gives can be missleading and there is no way to know what it really means.

But, if you were playing the game and you have the experience and memory of the game, then you can analyze the scores and they can mean something.

And since most of us here have played many games you can extrapolate information from references to scores.
It might be misleading, but I chose to assume that people aren't that pathetic that they retell stories about games they played to make themselves seem much better than they actually are.

So then you can use scores as shorthand to explain what happend in the games.

I hope this clears it up for you. :)

Okay man, you need to take a reading comprehension course at your local community college. (I'm being mean now cause you don't get my niceness.) You retort to my post and it makes no sense, not in a logical way. You talk about extrapolating data (that you don't have) where is your data? It's all hersay. So you hear people talk about Bigfoot and Crop Circles and believe it? Even if real facts tell you different. You sir. Are a reason I know I won't win against you, but I hope others reading this will understand.

If you drag me down me to your level, I will lose. You have more experience.

What the hell?

I spent some effort in good spirit trying to explain myself and I get this bunch of unsulting nonsense back?

That was surprising, well, it is the internet, what could I expect. :(

I simply tried to explain myself. I didn't realize we were arguing, I thought you didn't understand me and I tried to explain myself.
I didn't attempt to argue with you, it feels a bit harsh to be met with insults after I spent thoughts and effort in trying to explain myself.
