Yeah, I was genuinly baffled.
I didn't want to fight.

I just wanted to explain why I see a point in referring to scores when we talk about matches we had even though they mean nothing in themselves.

That was surprising, well, it is the internet, what could I expect.

I simply tried to explain myself. I didn't realize we were arguing, I thought you didn't understand me and I tried to explain myself.
I didn't attempt to argue with you, it feels a bit harsh to be met with insults after I spent thoughts and effort in trying to explain myself.

I'm not mad. Seems more that if we talked on mics we would get along. So I'm not going to comment more. This seems to be a clear case of chat on a forum doesn't do justice to how we both feel.

EDIT: Again it seems I am very poor communicating in pure writing. So I will take blame. I would bet you are a very fine person and someone I would call friend if we could chat in person.

I've had a couple games with people with fairly high N7 ranks who I'm pretty sure have never played gold before...so yes.

I've only really managed 1 carry I think. (Hydra--Geth, with my QI).  I'm not THAT good. Best I can do is a team carry...i.e. have 1 or 2 inexperienced types.

But Gold isn't even that hard O.o

all you need is a good team to revive each other and to use rockets when the situation demands it (+2 down and phantoms rushing in)

the funny thing is that a few hours ago I got kicked of a match because I had a level 14 GI with a GPS VII, the rest had a bunch of level 20 chars with some decent weapons, but hardly impressive, then I join another group and and get second place (in a close and balanced score that no one dominated).

Some builds need to be lvl 20 to work on gold, others can make it work much earlier.

however as well as ensuring these people get their commendation packs i fear i have also ensured my hair getting grey 100000% faster than it should.

It's cool dude.  Thank you for taking part.  Now I can't be certain until those number all come in and I do some official Bioware style counting... but looking at the strong positive response this thread has gotten I think we'll complete our community goal with room to spare!  


If I knew people would be this great about it, I would've set the goal higher.  Just goes to show the internet is a nicer place than people think.

I just stuck with fbw/g/g. I'm not usually a gold player but I found this is even easier than most make it out to be. Didn't have a losing game day today except for getting disconnected twice in wave 10. Now it's really funny to me when farmers think they are elite. Much easier than random random silver.

Well, I did my part, with the help of an Asari Adept.



The reason we did not get a full extraction was my fault. The other three ran off to the extraction zone right at the start, and I stayed behind to pick off Phantoms and try to draw some aggro. It worked, for the most part, until I tried to get to the extraction zone with 20 seconds left. The EZ was to the NE of the map (based on the landing zone at the start, with looking out of the base toward the spawn points being N). I tried to run through the base and head down the ramp to get the to EZ. Well, as I turn the corner to head out of the base, there was a pair of Atlases and a trio of Guardians all jammed together on the ramp. I could not run through or around them, and I was out of missles. After taking down a Guardian, that gave me enough room to squeeze through, but I made it inside the EZ just after the mission was completed. Literally a half-second away from full extraction because I waited too long to join the group.

I'm not an elite enough of a Gold player to carry several newbies through the entire match myself, so I convinced a few of my usual buddies to let a newbie or two in for a few FBW/G matches.

After that we switched up to Cerberus and Reapers and other maps but we kept those private; really need everybody on the ball for those.

This unit informs hereby Alliance Command that the Geth have reached consensus regarding Opertaion Carry, specifically in review of the Phantom menace and Operation Excorcist to face the growing cerberus thread.
The Geth agree that the growing thread of phantom-heavy-melee units requires alteration of so far succesfull  combat strategy and allocation of war assetts.
Sending Bronze and Silver certified troops to gold priority missions and therefor concentrating allied forces firepower on the main enemypresence seems like a valid strategy to achieve the goal of Operation Excorcist. This unit would suggest that Bronze and Silver certified troops who lack combat experience on gold priority missions should be accompanied by experienced allied combat units with Gold certification.
This unit would also suggest that allocation of weaponary and tactical assets as gunmodifications should be given to individual allied combatunits accordingly to their current arsenal and mission requirements. This unit is concerned about the effectiveness of allied forces Assaultrifles and Submachineguns to achieve the goal of Operation Excorcist. Successrate may improve by 83.41% alone by granting superior weaponary against phantom-heavy-melee-units like Geth Plasma Shotguns or Claymore heavy shotguns.
This unit would also like to remember Alliance Headquarters about Supply-Demand #2134868, upgrading this units language-circuit boards from native-human german to native all-allied-species languages, as Elcos-Combine Linguistica VII circuitboards provide. Improved communicationbehaviour with biological allies might increase succesrates of gold priority missions by 32.14% if this unit could provide mission-critical information to it's allies.

This unit would like to participate in Operation Carry and is ready to engage gold priority missions against Cerberus accompanied by non-gold certified allied troops.

If there are no gold certified troops left to support our lesser trained soldiers, than these soldiers better learn damn fast, we have not the luxury to delay critical missions just to make sure every squad is equally skilled.
And we would love to equip our forces faster. How about you damned Geth stop massproducing your peashooter of Pulse-Rifles and raise the production of your Plasma Shotguns, he? We can only give out what we get. 

And stop annyoing us with your damn language-circuit boards. This unit was allocated with 2 other gold-certified allies and one engineer unit not trained for gold priority missions. This unit reports full extractions out of every location, also allied gold-veteran under the alias of HoboCommand3r outperformed our not gold cerified allies by factor 9.7253. This unit would suggest to further train non-gold certified participants in said battles to increase team efficency. Upgrades to reflexes and aimmodules should be applied immediatly.

This unit reports 4 full extractions out of named location. This unit specifically mentions the performance of non-gold certified ally under the alias of BlueTurian, who was engaged in gold-priority missions for the first time the day before Operation Excorcist started. Biological unit BlueTurian increased battle effectiveness within a day by 123.45% and caused second highest amount of casualties to cerberus aggressors during all 4 operations.

This unit was assigned to random squad for the final engagement of the day. Allied weaponary were made of 2 SMGs and one Phaestrom Assaultrifle. This unit would suggest again to increase battle-effectiveness by providing heavy shotguns and sniperrifles to allied forces. Average damageoutput was reduced by 46.23% during the whole operation, leading to only a partial extraction as this unit had to take out one Atlas while 2 phantoms entered the landing zone in the final seconds before shuttle arrival. Severly injured biological ally unit was salvaged for repair and should be restored for future operations on the medical bay of turian Battlecruiser Parakan.
