You know what's coming this weekend.  N7 weapons are going to be dangled in front of people who normally play only Bronze and Silver, and who really have no business in Gold.  They will flood the Public Gold lobbies and there will be great weeping and gnashing of teeth.  But, rather than complain about it, let's look at it as an opportunity to challenge ourselves, spread some cheer, and maybe show off a little.  

So here's what I propose.  This weekend, go out into the public lobbies, and complete 1 gold game to extraction with randoms.  No picking and choosing, and definitely no kicking.  20 to 30 minutes of your time to make some poor newbie's dreams come true.  

Community Goal: Earn 1,000 N7 weapons for newbies.  
Squad Goal: Survive until extraction on any map and any enemy on Gold difficulty, in a public lobby with randoms without kicking anyone.  

Successful completion of the Community Goal will grant all BSN Community members 1 week of good kharma.
Successful completion of the squad goal awards warm and fuzzy feelings of comraderie and accomplishment to all squadmates.

Operation Carry will run from 6:00PM PST, Friday April 27th until 5:00AM PST, Monday April 30th.  Carry will be available on all platforms, EVEN THE PS3!  "Upload Game Feedback" is not required.

Look forward to the assistance from avid gold players. Played it once or twice but that was sometime back, now my weapons, mods and tactics are a little more up to par and this should work well. I will be communicating as well. I look forward to full extraction.

I am just glad I still have all of my level 20 characters. I plan on using my engineer who is level 20 this weekend just to make sure I get the goal. Gold is great with the right squad

This is a pretty neat idea. Certainly a more constructive and positive approach than what we will be seeing over the weekend on the forums. Well done sir, I will participate and do my part. Should we perhaps report on the results in this thread?

By all means.  I'm sure there will be lots of stories, both epically successful and disastrously hilarious.  Part of the appeal, I imagine.

Fantastic initiative! I'll definitely be joining in on Operation Carry. Everyone participating, Gold regulars and Gold newbies alike, should be able to improve their game a bit this weekend.

 good enough if there's only one newbie in a random gold game but there's usually more than one is there?

Warped Atlas surounded by phantoms.... "wow! let's overload it so no explosions, phantoms don't get killed and then we get swarmed. how fun!"

Seen it everytime and not just during special weekends. 


Here's to hoping that these newbies have learned by now.

Gotta help newbies so they learn faster. I'm sure we were all there at some point. Hell, first time I encountered a Phantom on bronze I think I screamed (mostly because she stuck her sword through my chest).

i complete gold matches with random all the time due to the fact that not many of my friends play me3 on PC..and what makes it more random is i always get connected to people away from my region, from Estonia to canada to portugese to argentina lol why no Aussie players.?/ i dont even understand some of them when they speak through the mic oh well, at the end we all still do good.

Sorry, If I see another drell adept with a scoped revenant I'm going to start quitting out of the matches instead of booting them. This way I waste THEIR time.

I've no problem with low N7 levels and low level weapons. I have problems with people not using common sense for their classes.
