I just love promoting so much! I can't explain it, but I will have an Asari Adept and Geth Engineer ready to try and get that gold extraction!

Well, good luck with that, guys. Random packs are random, so all my useful weapons are level 1, 2, or 3 at best. Despite dozens of them being opened. So, I won't ruin anyone's gold game. Bad idea for an event, really. (Bioware's, not yours).

You know what's coming this weekend.  N7 weapons are going to be dangled in front of people who normally play only Bronze and Silver, and who really have no business in Gold.  They will flood the Public Gold lobbies and there will be great weeping and gnashing of teeth.  But, rather than complain about it, let's look at it as an opportunity to challenge ourselves, spread some cheer, and maybe show off a little.  

So here's what I propose.  This weekend, go out into the public lobbies, and complete 1 gold game to extraction with randoms.  No picking and choosing, and definitely no kicking.  20 to 30 minutes of your time to make some poor newbie's dreams come true.  

Community Goal: Earn 1,000 N7 weapons for newbies.  
Squad Goal: Survive until extraction on any map and any enemy on Gold difficulty, in a public lobby with randoms without kicking anyone.  

Successful completion of the Community Goal will grant all BSN Community members 1 week of good kharma.
Successful completion of the squad goal awards warm and fuzzy feelings of comraderie and accomplishment to all squadmates.

Operation Carry will run from 6:00PM PST, Friday April 27th until 5:00AM PST, Monday April 30th.  Carry will be available on all platforms, EVEN THE PS3!  "Upload Game Feedback" is not required.  

Good luck and see you on the battlefield.  

I would participate, but I've never been to a Gold game (so I'd most likely be a carry-ee.  After seeing Multiplayer Manifest of my account...I don't think it would be a good idea, either.  I'm missing a lot of weapons (a few rares at rank 3 or below, though).  

Then again, I blame the MP store-purchase-bug...play 5 games or so to get enough for a Specter pack (or more, for the larger packs), get no items in return, lose 60,000 credits. 

I may queue up for Gold, though...just to try it out.  Go in with an Avenger fully loaded with +armor pen and +damage and guard whoever is defending the chokes (or capping the laptops).

N7 235, HE lvl 20, Looking to have some fun on gold. While I'm not elite by any stretch, I think I'm pretty ok at this game. Did my first Gold run this morning before going to work and it was fun and successful too.

Gold newbie here! I feel semi-viable with my Geth engineer, but there's not a lot of teamwork in lower-level PUGs, so I base my loadout on self sufficiency (Turret nearby, HM, Overload, Snipe). I've seen people disparaging sniper engineer loadouts, what would you recommend I carry to be a better team player?

Dunno if weapons matter so much...I did my first gold run this morning with an Avenger X and my HE @ lvl20. I'didnt kick ass but i didn't suck neither...
I guess it all depends on your class...But what do I know? I'm still a gold n00b.

I'm signing up for this initiative. I'll help by hosting Gold Cerberus runs and hopefully guiding randoms to victory/extraction, or at least take out a lot of phantoms trying! :-) I play on xbox 360, GT = same as BSN.

Great thread. I will make it a point to suggest only helpful advice, will not rage before game or after if a loss.

EDIT: Oh and I will not tell anyone to change their class but instead change my class to compliment the team.
