Well, that's just terrible.  That's a huge advantage for PC players over X360 players  I don't care where they put the button, that's just huge.  Honestly, they ought to add it.  Reload cancelling ought to be a feature, not a bug.  There's a very good reason a lot of shooters add it (or some spin on it, like Gears of War's active reloading) on purpose.

Mouse buttons are nice, but I mapped medigel to the "E" button (which isn't used (in MP) anyway). Works great for me. The only "problem" I had are instant revives when the enemy kills you right before you're attempting to cancel reload. Wasted a couple packs like that ;)

I frequently reload-cancel with an ability that's on cooldown on PS3. Pressing the button your grenades are mapped to when you don't have any will also work.

It's been confirmed by a dev that our enemies are a lot tougher in AI terms so it balances out :)  I see a lot of enemies standing still/not shooting/not flanking on Xbox when I watch videos. That never happens on gold/pc. I personally find it much more difficult to play with a controller though, so I'd probably suck if I switched to console. Btw does medigel reloading not work at all on console? Because I'm sure I saw somebody mention it in a thread about 360 somewhere... I'll have to dig it up.

@Fortack: Damage + accuracy is fine, but in this run I fight a lot of armor. Ravagers, brutes, banshees... The flat 50 damage DR applies to each pellet of the claymore because each counts as a projectile. So you're losing out on about 400 damage per shot if you don't use shredder. Yeah, incendiary compensates somewhat, but shredder allows you to shoot through cover AND shoot through multiple enemies. I think shredder + accuracy is ideal for my setup.

Actually if you take a look at this thread

Extended barrel, accuracy + AP ammo >>> more damage to armor and more damage to hits after cover penetration, and more damage to everything else ....

Does incendiary add enough crowd control to be worth it ? Must watch the video ...

  No.  Unless there's some super secret method I don't know.  You have to reload cancel with powers, and obviously that's a massive pain for certain classes (like the Turian Sentinel), and at the very least a small pain for others.

Only way to reload cancel on xbox is to do it by using powers or by tapping A when you're out in the open, you can do it by tapping A and going into cover too but that kind of defeats the purpose of it.

Wish you could medi gel cancel on the 360 too, Ive tried but it doesn't work.

Nice job!

I was amazed at how little effect tech armor had on those husks when you detonated it. I suppose that in part because you chose the protection evolutions -- but you'd think it would have more of an effect on the lowest tier enemy in the game.

Actually some tests involving incendiary ammo might be in order ...Incediary ammo DOT component might be a fixed value... As shotguns can hit a target with 8 pellets per shot -> this DOT component might be  apllied 8 times ... Atm this is only speculation from my part ... I will try and test this ...I will also try and ask mister Eric Fagnan but I doubt he'll answer ...

ok did some SP tests ... incendiary ammo damage is percentage of base weapon damage (tested with predator) - but when applied multiple times (scimitar) it seems to cause more damage than it should ...

SP test incendiary ammo mechanics

Soldier

Scimitar I 35.4 (17.5% WD add-on)
Predator I 58.8 (17.5% WD add-on)

Incendiary ammo I 10% vs health//armor 25% armor weakening
Passives 15% WD , 10% PD

WD - weapon damage
PD - power damage (affects ammo power damage)
===========

Predator I vs health - body shot

1000 - 922.0899 = 77.9101
58.8 * (1 + 0.175 + 0.15) = 77.91

Scimitar I vs health - body shot

1000 - 624.7597 = 375.2403
35.4 * (1 + 0.175 + 0.15) * 8 = 375.24
=============

Predator I vs health - body + Incendiary ammo I

1000 - 922.0899 = 77.9101 (after impact)
1000 - 915.6219 = 84.3781 (after DOT)
(58.8 * (1 + 0.175 + 0.15)) + (58.8 * 0.1 * 1.1) = 84.378

VS health & armor All of the incendiary ammo damage is applied AFTER weapon damage impact as DOT

Scimitar I vs health - body shot + Incendiary Ammo I


1000 - 624.7597 = 375.2403 (after impact OK)
1000 - 540.0386 = 459.9614 (after DOT !!!! more damage WHY ?!)
((35.4 * (1 + 0.175 + 0.15)) + (35.4 * 0.1 * 1.1)) * 8 = 406.392 !!!

Shotguns using incendiary ammo might be bugged (do more DOT damage than they should ...)

I'll need to test this again with Claymore vs an armored target to see if the phenomenon repeats and the mystery damage scales ..

Also I'm pretty sure that his full name was TechnoTurian Shields, and he was killed by Reapers because his godlike awesome dance moves inspired fear and jealosy in their dark reapery souls :))

Also what was the name of your Salarian Infiltrator, who made the first ever gold solo run in the history of ME?
