 I've been playing with most of my characters with only a pistol to keep the bonus recharge at 200.
Which heavy pistol do you guys think is the best overall? I said overall because some pistols have a very small rate of fire, others have low precision, others are too heavy to keep the 200% bonus. I have only 2 or 3 pistols (don't remember right now). I have one at level X, and another at level III (3). I really don't remember their names, but I think the level X is that simple one that you start in ME2 and ME3.... I think the level 3 is Phalanx, but I'm not sure.

which one do you guys recommend? remember, I want to keep my recharge bonus at 200. Gonna farm some geth on FBW next weekend to get money to buy Spectre packs and better weapons. Then I'll play a REAL challenge on gold (I heard reapers/glacier is masochism).

Carnifex.

Carnifex!

It has -

*Accuracy
*More rounds than the Paladin
*Nice head-shot damage
*Can have 200% CD at X with a weight decreasing class, if not 180%
*Looks better than the Paladin due to modifications
*It is much easier to upgrade than the Paladin

And, it's better than the Predator, Phalanx, and the N7 Eagle.

I havent got the Carnifex, but I have Paladin up to III, and I think its fantastic.

i would go with carnifex, although i don't have the paladin, i need to test the paladin first to give a definite answer

best all-around is definitely the carnifex.

the talon has been growing on me, though.

I have the Carnifex X and the Paladin VII and I can tell you the Carnifex is much better to use because the rounds on the Paladin are ridiculously low.

Not to mention, Carnifex is much more found in packs.

I have a Paladin 1 with barrel V and Scope V. I mostly play silver with that gun but i one shot anything on "health" or two shot centurions and rocket troupers. 3 shots for hunters.

Thanks guys! Probably the Carnifex is the best (according to you all), so I'll use that even on the SP.

I played with the Phalanx so long that it just feels better than the Carnifex. But, yeah, when I can upgrade it enough to have 200% CD, I'll switch.

If it makes you feel any better, I have my Paladin III, a Scorpion I, and that's it for N7 weapons.  It's a good thing I like the Paladin because the RNG Gods have evidently decided that's what I'm going to use, forever.

I would say Paladin once you get it ranked up a bit, but that can take some time.

At this point, it's almost a Black Widow in pistol form.

If they give the Paladin another buff it may be better than the Carnifex.

I used to hate it because of the large weight it had, but now it's not so bad, and does more damage.
If they gave it the original rounds it'd be worth using (just) over the Carnifex. Seems worth it to me, considering it's an N7 Black Card.

ok after thinking about this question for a couple of mins, i come to the conclusion, that every pistol has there pros and cons, it's pretty much up to you, if you like to "spam" bullets go with for example the phalanx, well rounded gun is carnifex and from what i can tell paladin has good dmg but low clips, so you have to be good at aiming for the head

it's all about your playstyle
