Soooo you already know Virgine, she is in the first page.........

The following shots are taken from the same conversation.
This is what I got from exclude mouth xml, any way eith all the 3 alternatives the result is pretty similar.... But it's not just the mouth, also the eyes.

And this is what I got with that headmoprh web (I must note that after obtaining the face code a made tweaked hair and skin color).

I've tried this tool, but it doesn't actually give me a different face in the save! It's deeply depressing because my Shep looks a bit like an alien :-/
Also.
Those glowy eyes in the first post. HOW DO I GET THEM. pleaseplease?
ETA: Oddly enough when I started a new toon, importing the exact same character from ME2, I got a much closer match this time. I mean, a much closer match than I did this actual morning, when I was trying. Life is weird.
I'd still love to know how to get those eyes. And is there a way to steal Ash's hair for Shep? Cos that would win.

Now, one more silly question. My Shepard's eyes close pretty well. But in some scenes it's like her eyelids disappear completely and she turns into a weird googly-eyed alien. Will the fix on page 3 (moving her eyeballs back) help with this problem?

Most probably yes.
@ the eye's. (You do mean TIM's eye's?)
- Open Gibbed.
- Load your save game.
- Click on the "Appearance" Tab.
- Click on "Presets".
- Click on "Open from file"
- Double-click on "eye"
- Choose " The Illusive Man (A) or The Illusive Man (
(only different in color.) - Click "open"
- Save in another slot.
Edit: Ok already answered, sorry for this.

Moving the eye worked like a charm. I've ninja'd the face textures off defalt shep, so she has freckles now, as well!
Just out of curiosity, is it possible to get the glowy green eyes you have when using Prothean tech? It's extremely pretty, and goes really well with her hair, so...

I could get Zaaeed's eyes if I wanted to though, that might be cool. If I could change one to blue and one to green, I wonder if I can do that *goes off mumbling*

I collected them all here: Mass Effect 3 Import Tools, or getting Shepard to look like her old self.
Posting it here in case anyone else finds it helpful.

also for further comparison:

ME1

ME2

ME3
The proof is in the animation, I think.

The end result looks good. In that lighting, she seems to have gotten the same botox injections most of Shepardesses did, but it’s a good result. I’m also impressed that such pale skin looks nice in 3 (I had to go 2 shades darker).
thanks!
that is a custom shade of pale, basically bumped down the values of the RGB by -.1 a little at a time until i got something i liked.
and yeah, in that scene, she looks young, but elsewhere, she looks very, very old and tired. which i kinda like. depends on the lighting

Bioware, the patch imports a face, but it is not the same face I had in ME1/2. I had to use 3rd party workarounds in order to get her back. It is different not because of lighting and the engine, it is different because there are changes to the head features. Lazarus was made because the patch did not fix this.
@Bioware employees: Have you given Lazarus a try? What do you think it would take to make it better?
+1.
I made this for comparison for myself trying to figure out what hairstyle would look most continuous with the previous style - since it changed fairly drastically in ME3. For the heck of it, I thought I'd pull up the original ME3 face that is the result of importing the same code, without mods. Note, I am using texmods, but the structure is the main thing here. Edit - if anything the texmods make the structural changes more glaring because I'm using the same quality face texture between games. WOW. Just wow. An official fix would be nice, but I wouldn't hold my breath. All you modders have my gratitude for doing what they failed to deliver.
Man, this makes me wish I could play games on my lappy... I just don't have the patients for it. I like having a controller in my hands.

Patch 1.03 does NOT contain a fix attempt.
I'm shocked... SHOCKED to hear that Biow... err... Wait, no I'm not. It was obviously a non-issue for them from the get-go.

I've only recently discovered the Mass Effect series and I think the first two games were awesome and seeing I'm not much of a gamer that's saying a lot ;o)
I loved how you could create your own character and stick with him/her through the first two games. Needless to say how disappointed I was when ME3 was released and my character didn't look anything like my character in the first two games.
I'd expected better!
Even after the update I felt my character looked bland and nowhere near the character I'd been playing with since ME1.
Thanks to the Lazarus project and all the tips and tricks of people on here my character looks a lot better. Still don't feel like she looks like her old self, but at least a zillion times better than the original import and the import after the update into ME3.
So, lots of kudos to everyone of you providing the tools, tips and tricks to make my Shepard look better!

So I've been not paying attention for a month or so. I'm still on the PS3 version and can't play because my Shepard's face won't import properly. Is it too late you think to create a thread about this on the PS3 Tech Forums? Or has that ship sailed and there is no way they are going to fix it? Because it's getting harder to avoid end-game spoilers and I just want to finish the game at this point, my Shepard or no.
You should create one there, just to have one…I dunno if it’ll ever get addressed, but it certainly can’t hurt — especially with PS3 owners having the biggest gripe since you can’t even use lazarus.
