If that dialogue was in the game it would have been better but not solved a lot the problems with the ending. At least it would have made SOME of the war assests mean something.
the interview does reveal a better quality game

These cuts wouldn't have greatly affected the story, but they did affect the quality. As it is now, the ME2 characters were brought back for lame cameos and silly sidequests.
There have already been threads showing that virtually every ME2 character had important scenes cut, mostly from the final mission, not to mention there is substantial ME3-character dialogue also cut.
All of this is just more and more hard evidence that BioWare was rushed for release by EA, and they cut corners. Javik didn't make it to the disc, and should have. The ME2 characters were cut back. The entire final mission was simplified to running through a burned out street, and the War Assets became nothing more than a arbitrary number that makes no real difference. Casey and Mac made some decisions to exclude the writing team from the ending when pressed for time.
The game failed the story on many levels, and I haven't even gotten to the technical failures yet. The face importer still doesn't work, because apparently no designer took the time to actually match the 3d models to their ME2 counterparts. The only way that could have happened is if they were rushed and didn't have time to test it. There are many more cases of loading errors, game crashes, and texture popping than ME2. The list goes on an on....
My recommendation to others also still coming here in the hope of a miracle... Go play something else. There are lots of good games out there. It's what I've done, and although I'm still bitter about this, I'm much happier while playing Assassin's Creed.

I want to say, however, that I am not
calling Hudson an idiot. I'm calling what he SAID idiotic. Very big
difference. Hudson is a very smart guy

Nope, it's not perfectly fair to assume that, your reasoning makes no sense.Velocithon wrote...
Not really twisting the truth here...Hudson referred the boss battle as being too video gamey. Instead, he took this ****ty intellectual approach. Given how horrible and flat the entire mission was, I think it's perfectly fair to assume that Hudson's reaction to a game with all that stuff mentioned would've been along the lines of "too video gamey"cachx wrote...
*nested quoting snipped for brevity*
The "Too videogame-y" quote was never used in that context. Stop twisting the truth.
ME2 had plenty of cut stuff too. where is the initiative to restore it, uh?
