I purchased Mass Effect 3 today and installed via Origin, but when I try to use the custom character creator or an imported face I get an entirely black space where the face should be (This occurs both when I try to import Shepard or to make a new character).  Adjusting the sliders provides some changes in a vaguely face-shaped blob, but it is still entirely black, and when entering the game, a blob still remains in place of Shepard's face.

Choosing the default face, however, does provide an image where the face should be.

According to Origin, my game is fully up to date. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I reinstall?

EDIT: A full reinstall has not worked to resolve this issue.

Further details: Any Shep's face via custom creator or import will be fully black (pics below). If I accept this and continue on into the game, the situation does not change: Shepard still has no face.
