thank you!
it was fine for the daggers already ... in easy mode ;D
what bothers me is that: a high dez char misses 1 on 2 hits on a foe stunned, this is completly ridiculous if we have coup de grace and master dual, even if we dont have those, a rogue wouldnt miss one hit each 2 hits when stricking a stunned foe. it is so boring that i stop playing for awhile and i came to check the content of this patch. i dont think that i will finish that high dez game.

If you read "Master Dual...."  You'll see it only allows 1h Swords and lowers your Sta req for skills. It Has nothing to do with your accuracy.

Is my mind playing tricks on me or was the patch upgraded from 1.02 to 1.02a? If so, what's the difference?

Alright, I downloaded the recent patch for my PC version 1.02.
And I'm STILL getinng the error that my storage content timed out, as well as my game crashes at weird times for no reason. Thank god i save frequently...

And for the love of god, can it be any harder to find the page to be able to download the patches? It's like finding a needle in a hay stack..

What in the world is wrong with having a patches page right off the main GAME page to be able to get the lattest patches?!?

I've never had problems finding patches for a game then this game.

Don't get me wrong, I love this game.. But, the recent patch did NOT fix some of the problems it says it fixes..
Cripe, I can't even find the patch again to be able to install it again to make sure it did it properly..

Most annoying....

The funny thing is.. you go to EA patches page to be able to download the 1.02 patch... and guess what, it downloads the 1.01b patch.

GreyWolfe,

On the crashing problem, I a lot of people are solving it by simply set the speed of your video card to maximum. This solved my crash as well, no more playing wondering when the game will crash.

If your video card is ati or nvidia download their respective video card software management.

Hope it helps.

There's a big thread with title Patch 1.02....couldn't be any easier than that...

Personally I think I will skip this patch too. I don't want to nerf my mages ;)

OK, this is MY game and I'm the only one playing it. It is up to me to decide if the game I play is unbalanced.

I'm not fighting other people.

If the game is to hard for you lower the difficulting setting, If it is to easy raise the difficulting setting.

To put a patch out that forces the change of powers that only one person is using(me when I play the game) is just wrong.  This game did have a Beta test, right?

Patchs for this type of game should be to fix problems with game play, memmory leak, error bugs, etc.

After the game is released and I BUY it, it is MY game.  I could care less if people get on forums and post their personal opinions about this or that power being over powered. Maybe it is to them, I don't care. The game I care about is the one I'm playing(My game, not theirs).

Of course it's your game.  You don't have to install the patch, do you?  If you do, I remember seeing a mod that reverted the spell changes specifically.

At any rate, patches are free added content.  Unless I'm wrong and they force you to install the patch or the game won't launch or something, what's the objection?  You don't lose anything you were entitled to by choosing to forego the patch because you don't like parts of it.

The whole 'this is WRONG' aspect seems a little silly and dramatic, to be honest.  It's a balance patch to a video game.  You haven't been mugged.

aaa.. Yes you do have to install the patch!! If any of the REAL bugs are to be fixed with game, you are forced to take this patch because each new patch includes the previous one. So if everyone is forced to do something I would say everyone is being mugged.

I've updated my game to 1.02a but but I'm still getting the rally stacking bug. Tried reinstalling and patching again, still get the same problem. Anyone else running in to this bug? Thanks for any help.

Does this fix the item set problems that your companions will face after exiting the camp ?

Harlarth, it is supposedly fixed in 1.02a. I went from the cousland castle to the wilds with rally on and my def did not change that much (it was around 49+10)

and I'm not sure about the item set issue

To date, I have enjoyed the challenge of the unpatched game. Re-doing a section a number of times has caused me to re-evaluate the tactics used by the characters until just the correct combination works. Fun. Unless the patches add extra areas to explore, I think I will stick with the first version. Too many new games are too easy, walking through a game lacks challenges.

A user scalable difficulty, similar to the one used in Oblivion would be the best way to go.

the patches fix game exploits, and alot of mage abilities which where overpowered and not working as intended. if you are competing in the first version its because of these...
