Also change the tutorial at the start to tell you to zoom in with the mouse scroll wheel or Page Up and Page Down on the keyboard.

It does explain the mouse method.
I had not installed the patch, I never read manuals, and I did know it because it explained it.
Maybe you missed it?

Chris needs to listen to us fans and remove the riff raff moderators who try to silence us (aka RTO thread)
They didn't close the RtO thread to silence people. They closed it because it turned into a 200+ page thread where a lot of the posts were just spam by people that can't keep it civil.

In rare cases, enemy corpses were selectable when they contained no loot. This no longer occurs.
is baloney. I never had this happen before the patch, after the patch it happens with a fairly high frequency. Not really a bother but I found it interesting the patch introduced a bug into my game that it allegedly fixes.

I have had the same experience...never had it happen before the patch, but see it happen occassionally now that I've applied the patch...

Someone PLEASE make a patch for the memory leak! That is all...
Yes, this, please! Or is this Bioware's way of telling us to shut off the system and go outside for awhile? lol
Also I've been having a problem with the Quest Updates taking awhile to update. Got stuck after defeating a boss, waiting for the transition, but the wait ended up being awhile.
I wish I could shut off the "killing blows" as well. Sometimes the extra seconds it takes for my character to do them, enemies are still slashing at me, while I am unable to do anything.

I was playing an Arcane Warrior when I got the patch but I didn't notice a change because Arcane Warriors are so beastly. I figured had to do with how overpowered the class is, not the patch.
However, I then rolled a warrior and realized that even on Nightmare (a setting that gave me so much trouble on my first playthrough as a rogue) the game was not difficult at all. Some battles required a little more planning but it wasn't anything like my first playthrough.
The change bugs me a bit. Beating the game the first time around was frustrating. I wasn't quick to learn the mechanics, I made some bad choices with how I specced my rogue, and I had no healer because I killed Wynne (morrigan made me do it). Despite all of that it was fun. It meant there was more planning and every battle felt that much more desperate. It also gave me something to look forward to. I knew i'd fare better on my next character but now it feels like the terrible first run was in vain. The game is too easy.
I know there are mods to change difficulty but they change mechanics too much and act more like a rebalance than an increase in difficulty. I'll probably have another look at the add on's page unless one of you kind folks can recommend one. Anyway, that's my rant.

At first playthrough you learn a lot, many battles you lost you win them relatively easilly at second attempt, you don't know optimize as well your character because you don't know as well the system and because you don't know what is coming.....Some battles required a little more planning but it wasn't anything like my first playthrough....
At second playthrough it's very different, you optimize better your characters and equipement, you remember the points to take care of for many battles. You plan everything better because you know what's coming. So second playthough is much more easy, no surprise.
Myself I started play with 1.02 and found the difficulty fine. Now I'm close to end there's less and less fights I need replay to win them. I'm just learning better the system.

Can an option for some ever so slightly larger font be added in a patch? would make 1920x1080 a bit easier to play, of course I probably need new glasses and the font size as is is probably fine
There is an modder made addin to increase font size for the PC version: FtG UI Mod
