Its about a 25 point difference, I usually choose the Rachni because I saved them in ME1

I like this choice, but wished it had some kind of followthrough. I kind of view choosing the rachni (and demise of Arlakh company) as putting a damper on Krogan military ambitions. That maybe it's symbolic of the Krogan lacking military unity, even if you cure the genophage. In addition to that, you'll have the rachni out there as yet another fast breeding, powerful race. There's a balance of power in this case.

I saved the queen because my Shep thought this way, she would produce baby spiders quickly and those could be fodder in the war. The outcome that she helped with the crucible was an added plus. On a side note, the entire scene was epic for a Grunt fan like myself. I love Krogans and Turians because they are badass soldiers.

To be frank, I didn't even notice in-game that Aralakh had been wiped out by the rachni. I only read that later on the wiki page.
Honestly, I found this all to be a bit confusing. The first time I played ME3, I thought that the Breeder's point was that she would create an army of rachni to help fight the Reapers if I were to release her. That, added to the fact that I was in enemy territory, completely surrounded by enemies; and the fact that I did feel sorry for her fate, made me take the logical path of releasing her from the Reaper's control. In fact, I thought it would release the Reaper-rachni from Reaper control immediately, massacring the Reapers on the planet.
You can imagine my surprise when Hackett told me "quite a gamble to ally with the rachni." I was like: wut? I never agreed to such a thing.

Nah, I gas'd that B!tch back on Noveria..... Stupid bug.
And I would never choose any Bug over Grunt and his pals. Never.

I kind of agree. Grunt should die if you choose to save the rachni queen again. From a war asset perspective you're better off (Rachni's 100 points to Grunt +arlakh company's combined 50) but it's kind of mean to sacrifice a friend and his squad based on statistics.
I wasn't even aware arlakh company dies until reading about it. If you check your war assets it mentions it but neither Wrex nor Grunt give you any crap about it. Not so sure about saving the breeder though. I never did even with very renegade characters because it creeped me out so much. And this was before learning that it actually depletes your assets.
Realistically, saving the rachni queen not once but twice is very stupid. If you read up on the rachni wars setting the queen free on Noveria is a huge risk and very idealistic. The rachni gave no reason for sympathy. I suppose it's murder to kill the queen but it was to ensure the galaxy's safety. It's a mercy compared to leaving the rachni for the council (which isn't an option strangely) since they'd just run tests on it.
Now saving the queen a second time is even more stupid. Besides the doubts of another rachni war, how could you know the rachni wasn't under reaper influence or could be trusted enough to be anywhere near the crucible? Not to mention you're sacrificing arlakh company of much more certain loyalty. It's almost as if Shepard doesn't want to admit he/she was wrong in setting the queen free the first time so they release the queen again in hopes it will eventually pay off.
