Well, I suppose that gives more incentive to invest in other spell trees, I suppose.
Hope the next patch fixes the Shapeshifter bug.

I would like to know exactly what encounters have been corrected, if anyone has that info.
I noticed many files being modified with den and alley in them

I'm hoping that they're talking about Denerim alleyways and possibly other ambushes.pathenry wrote...

Is this going to be for ps3 as well? I know bioware said they really wanted to support it
IT is, they have stated that they are working on both 360 and PS3 versions. God only known when though lol
I imagine it takes alot of work to get it coded right with the picky console coding.

That would be wonderful. Those alley fights were odd because I found them to be the most difficult of the game, and... for the enemy type you're facing... didn't make much sense.

so archery rogues or dagger rogues want to keep cunning (from lethality) and dex fairly equal now?
No, but it's more of a choice now. Cun still adds lots of damage because of other talents (second sin one, Warden's Keep thing) and of course AP. Dex adds defense and attack instead.

I think it means that certain enemies didnt spawn as lower level monsters, if you as a low level player entered the area.
meaning that those fights will be easier if you meet them as a low level team, but no change in difficultay if you are high level.

I assume they mean things like the last boss in the Provings. I usually did Orzammar later in the game so I was already lvl13-14 when I got there. Last playthough I went there first (well; right after completing the first part of Redcliffe) so I was lvl8 or 9 or so and the guy just 2 shot the entire party. I suppose that's the sort of stuff they meant.
I wonder if they put the Ancient Elven Boots in the chest they were supposed to be in in the first place now, would be nice not having to use a mod to get them at all

On the subject of crowd-control, I quite saddened by the loss of Cone of Cold, Blizzard, Force Field, and Crushing Prison, since these were Morrigan's main CC spells. Yes, it is VERY cheap to be able to stun-lock enemies in a constant barrage of CoC, but I love it so much. (And yes, I also realize these spells haven't been nerf'd to hell or anything.)
If not for the dexterity fix, I wouldn't be getting this patch. Curse you Bioware for trying to implement class-balance!

Are ya kiddin' me? Is this a PvP MMORPG?The spells Force Field, Crushing Prison, Cone of Cold, and Blizzard now have shorter durations and/or longer cooldowns. This ensures that combatants can no longer stun-lock each other by repeatedly casting the same spell.
Oh well. Nothing a little tinkering with abi_base couldn't fix. I'm disappointed, however.

Those bandit battles in Denerim really aren't that difficult on Normal, assuming one uses the right crowd-control and what-not.
And if you don't have proper crowd control, you are pretty much screwed, regardless what you do.

Honesty time Bioware.
Did you fix the entropy spell that does nothing (is it weakness?) & did you fix the shapeshifter-based-on-strength bug?
These were some of the most obvious problems. That indicated a literally broken game piece. Have they been fixed?

Yes, that's quite true. There seems to be no way to do those quests without a mage, so my statement was obviously lacking in consideration for the non-mage party, or those mages who don't possess a lot of CC. And I can only imagine what kind of a terror it would be on Hard or Nightmare. So maybe I should rephrase my original statement as:
"Those bandit battles in Denerim really aren't that difficult on Normal, assuming one meets all the exact conditions to not wipe in the first five seconds."
Glad they toned them down, then.

Bugfixes? Dunno why you'd like such op spells so much, but you can mod them back if you'd like.
