Got disconnected from EA's server for the first time yesterday, and yeah. Annoying as hell, and totally unnecessary to boot the players just because of it. Can just continue playing since we don't need a connection to EA servers once the match making part is done. And then after the match is finished, let the client re-establish a connection to the EA servers for the credits/stats/whatever. Seriously.. Just retry the connection instead of booting the players. Paranoid nitwits.

No problems with my connection to their servers etc. its a case of bioware failing again and again and again.
even when gow had host, if the host had a good connection i would connect just fine. even if ME3 lagged. i wouldn't mind as much as i would still get something when i died.

The problem isn't that the server is stupid.
It's that you need constant connection to the server, whichever one you get connected to in the entire goddamn cloud they have, despite that the game mechanics could work peer-to-peer as well, in fact, it already DOES.
So if the game client wasn't written in a ludicrously dumb way, then if you got disconnected, the game would still have you in the game through peer-to-peer connection, record your current progress (which I assume it already does, as it updates the server only at the very end of the waves), and try to reestablish connection in the meantime, then at the end of the game you'd probably be online already (considering usually it's -just that one server- that dies and not the entire network) and refresh, and if you aren't on, it could still keep progress and update when it's done (though I guess that would be susceptible to alteration and getting infinite amount of credits, though people are already doing that.)
SO the point is,
THE GAME SHOULD NOT DISCONNECT YOU FROM THE MATCH MERELY BECAUSE YOUR CONNECTION TO EA'S SERVER IS LOST: [/rant]
Because it's not necessary for the current match!

8/10 games on Goddess everyone disconnects.
Condor puts up firewalls when people join in session.
Vast amounts of players can't connect to one another and if in the same lobby, the game doesn't recognize mics.
Off host Vanguards/Havoc
Collectors raping PS3 HDD and them not giving a ****.
CoD's servers were garbage, but ME3's problems is fighting for that spot. I ain't even mad. I'm just telling it like it is. Maybe next time they'll support this for longer than a year and get better netcoding.
