I cannot seem to deviate away from Paragon-Maleshep, and Renegade-Femshep. The voice actors seem to compliment those roles the best IMO.

So I was wondering how you matched your playthroughs up.

I just assume the galaxy has left such sexism behind and play whatever I like.

As sexist as this sounds, paragon femshep was not believable; as if she could not ever be taken seriously enough to rise up to the top without being ruthless and efficient hardass. Usually I do not play through a game twice, but this series provides incentives. Two different voice actors, and two different roles (plus class variation).

So I was wondering how you all varied everything and what your reasoning for it was.

I'm assuming 200 years of women's rights will have eliminated that idiotic notion by the time Shepard is born.

I just like Jennifer Hale's... angry voice... a lot more than I like Meer's. Meer is still a fine fine voice actor, don't get me wrong, and he's improved a LOT since ME1, but Hale to me is just better.

My female trooper in TOR is going dark side purely to listen to Hale growl and be all mean and evil. It's awesome.

It's funny cuz I'm the exact opposite, my ManShep are the Renegades and FemSheps the Paragon.

I've tried doing a renegade FemShep before, but it always just seems wrong to take her down the Renegade road - maybe cuz I see the FemShep as a projection of myself... and I'm just nice to a fault... So it always ends up going the Paragon route, lol.

I do the same for the same reason. ParagonBroShep and RenegadeFemShep.

I'm the same as you, but for different reasons. It's more a question of timing. I played paragon / Meershep as my first instinct, then these 3 ideas came at the same time:
- Hey, I haven't played FemShep before. Let's play FemShep
- Hey, I haven't played Renegade before. Let's play EvilShep.
- Hey, I haven't played insanity before... you get the picture.

Since then my Batsh*t  Insane Evil Femshep  Redhead from Hell has been terrorizing reapers all over the place.

I'm the EXACT same way.  When I play a FemShep, even if I set out to be Renegade, I can never do it all the way because I don't like being mean to people.  But if I pick BroShep, and make him wear the full helmet/death mask (dehumanizing him on top of my gender disconnect), I can make him be a nasty bastard.

Im opposite as well... I have done a paragon and renegade male, but have more femshep playthroughs, but those all are paragons.

I can't seem to make a female become a jerk.

^ This. Exactly. I just can't press the renegade options with my femshep, no matter how many times I play her. She's too perfect as a paragon. :)

Both my "all paragon all the time" and "all renegade all the time" characters are maleshep. Pretty much every other character I have is femshep.

The original poster was specifically talking about the voice actors, not gender roles. Some people want to see sexism everywhere...

So a voice actor complimenting a specific play style is sexist? Haha.

I'm actually in a similar boat to the OP. I think that Hale does a much better job with renegade dialogue than Meer does, but I think Meer sounds better with the paragon dialogue.

But thats just me.

My Sheps are always paragon, with a sprinkling of renegade when I feel it's appropriate. Image IPB

I agree with Chris Priestly. I love his Evil smilies. Did you know that he is credited as Evil Chris Priestly in ME 3 credits.

Anyway my Shepards were.

Rachael Shepard (Female):  Adept, Renegon, Ruthless, Spacer.
John Shepard (Male): Engineer, Paragade, Earthbound, War Hero
Sarah Gail Shepard (Female): Vanguard, Paragade, Sole Survivor, Colonist
Mutale Shepard (Female): Infiltrator, Paragade, Earthbound, War Hero

It varies...and one of my FemSheps is a FullParagon as a matter of fact - things won´t go that good for her in ME3 (I´ll always take the paragon option, so yeah... xD)

SAME...to a tee.

Never played a full game as a FemShep...I don't know why...just couldn't get into it I guess.
