Ok who said after dragon age 2 that they would never buy a bioware product again and then bought ME3?

I didn't even buy DAII after playing the demo. Told me enough.

As for ME3, I wanted to see the series through. I have now and I got my refund by amazon.

And I'm still not threatening to never buy another Bioware game. But I will take a good hard look at reviews, fan comments and spoilers before making my decision.

I liked DA2. I didn't like how everyone whined and the same scenery, but it was good.

I never bought DA2 because user reviews were so bad. I have a functioning brain, so when a company that has so much fanbase goodwill makes a game like DA2, and it gets received by the fans like it does, I know something's up.

Still, I was like... different team. Won't be of influence.

And then...

Yeah.

I was wary of buying ME3 after DA2, but it did not turn me off to trusting Bioware products...that honor goes to ME3.

Heh, I preordered DA2...I should have learned my lesson, but I preordered ME3 anyway; I'm an idiot...yup. I did not trust my instincts on the matter, but oh well. Fool me once blahblahblah.

Okay I finished NWN 2  a month ago and other than some similarities I fail to see how DA:O is a cheap rip off of NWN 2.

After DA2 I decided that I wouldn't pre-order the next Dragon Age, and would wait to see reviews before buying. And maybe wait for the price to drop. I didn't let it turn me off of ME3 or TOR, as both were by different teams. I hoped that ME3 would make up for my frustrations with DA2, that it would confirm that my dislike for DA2 were an anomaly.

Then the endings happened. So now I'm questioning whether or not Bioware's current direction of story telling is something I can still enjoy.

I didn't, because I knew even though I was angry about DA2 I'd buy ME3 just to see how it ends, and that I'd eventually want to try ToR. ToR was lame and my account has been cancelled after not playing it for a month, and ME3 is a bust.

I can safely say now that I won't be buying another Bioware title. I don't like buying EA games because they are a horrible company, but they convinced me to do so for Deadspace, Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Now I can just go back to easily ignoring them without any regret because Bioware is going places I just can't follow.

I liked DA2 too. Sure, the scenery was repetitive, but it was still a solid 8/10. (For reference, KotOR was 9/10, KotOR2 was 10/10 until Malachor V, overall score 8/10; Mass Effect 1 10/10, 2 - 9/10; 3 - 9/10 before Thessia, 6/10 after, 3/10 in the ending, overall score 7/10)

I actually only decided to preorder DA2 after playing the demo -- I didn't enjoy DAO all that much and only signed on when I found out it was more ME-like than DAO-like. Too bad that ME itself forgot to be ME-like after that...

I'm not immature enough to say "I will never buy a Bioware product ever again" just because they made a mediocre game/ending.
If they make something good of course I will buy it ! I'm a gamer I crave good games =) Especially RPGs
Pre-ordering however is a different story...

DA2 wasn't as good as DA1 but it was not a bad game in my opinion.

Not me.

I just said, well that game was disapointing, but I still trust and love Bioware (because afterwards they didn't spend a month belittling me and my friends and subtly accusing us of not 'getting it')

I didn't do a second playthrough though, Just wasn't my cup of tea.

Thing is, a bad game from a great dev. just makes me say, well somebody screwed up, guess I'll be more cautious in the future.

But when that same dev. makes a bad game (in this case just a bad ending) then treats their fans like crap for a month, that is enough to make me stop giving them money.

Now, will I ever buy BW again?

Well I can say for certain that I won't bother with ME 3 story DLC cause what's the point?

I might check out Dragon Age 3 if I hear amazing things from customers. However I'll buy secondhand if I do and won't bother with DLC.

Basically this.  I only got into Mass Effect shortly after ME2 was released (a few of my friends wouldn't stop talking abou how awesome it was and I had to see what all the fuss was about), but ME3 has convinced me that preorders are a fundamentally bad idea.  No matter how much you trust a company, you never know when they're going to mess up.

Soul is still recovering from the abomination that was not only the end of ME3 but the trilogy i sank hours of my life into. First and Last time i pre-order from Bioware and no amount of Extended Cut DLC will change that...

Never played DA2.  I did play DAO & never beat the game however because I thought it was absolutely ridiculous how overpowered mages were in that game.  Highest dps & Healer in 1?  Poor design.  Had a entire party of mages & it was silly.

I liked DA 2.

I liked ME 3.

I pre-ordered both, and don't get the hate thrown at either.
