It's weird. ME2 pretty much set Harby up to be the main antagonist of ME3 ("Harbinger is coming"+him at the front of the Reaper fleet in the ending cutscene).

Then he is practically absent from ME3. Whether you liked him or not (I liked him), you have to admit that it makes no sense.

Why make a big deal out of 'Harbinger is coming', when in the second game he basically ceases to exist. His brief appearance where he spews lazzerss at Shepard does not count in my eyes.

If not, the EC is a failure.

Harbinger was too prominent in ME2 to be completely ignored, save for a tiny cameo.

true. only thing is, I still wish BW would have not rush the ME3 game as a whole. all those choices I've made in ME1,2 didn't seem to live up to my expectations.

Jack herself was barely in ME3.....last time i actually talked to her in person was like 2mintues at the Citadel's purgatory...wow sweet. cant bring you back on ship?

or Grunt????

terrible IMO

IMO - Insulting that BW done that.

1. to us fans, it was to be expected that Harbinger would have a large role (ME2, Arrival DLC) clearly pointed that out.

2. Game as a whole lead up to this point of a "Showdown" with Galaxy and the leaders of the Reapers

well it looks like EA may get bought by Nexon see how that goes

Yeah it's pretty weird. After that scene near the conduit, I thought he would have reappeared soon before the end

"more of larger role"

harbinger didn't have a large role in this game to begin with, but anyway, not too much larger, if it's just cutscenes harbinger won't have more than maybe a couple lines and show him dying. story wise harbinger will still be negligible

I was really a big fan of Harbinger in the ME2 and Arrival DLC. I really hope they have more of him....but I now doubt they can even put any added footage.

How can Bioware incorporate:

1. Any Conversation Scene with Harbinger and Shepard? It's too difficult when he leaves Shepard...and then some how Shepard magically gets up (as does Anderson) to the Citadel Beam

2. The Big Showdown? ... I was expecting this in the ME3 (since Bioware lead me to believe this was going to happen)....hence the Arrival DLC and not to mention the ME2 end scene where Harbinger clearly leads the entire Reapers to the MIlky Way Galaxy

these are just some thoughts...

I think it would be interesting to see how they would incorporate Harbinger into the ending as a character. Obviously with the way the game itself ends it would be fairly easy to make that transition to introduce Harbinger as the lead character in an attempt to disway the player from an appropriate action or choice to end the series.

Harbinger as he has been presented in ME2 was distanced physically from Shepard and was still able to engage him in dialogue although it is most notible in the Arrival DLC so it isn't necessary in the full regard and design of the ending in which Shepard deals with the Reapers that there be a direct engagement between Shepard or Harbinger as a boss battle. It is more likely that it will be a dialogue between the two if it were implemented. Harbinger has a fleet to worry about that he is openly engaged with and it makes sense that the character would be disengaged from Shepard in that manner.

I think Bioware would implement Harbinger in the same modality that they did with ME2 and Arrival since it is the most productive way to incorporate Harbinger as a whole in the game without adding a contrived, and thats what it would be if you had a boss battle with Harbinger, game element that serves no purpose. The ending of ME3 is widely open to alteration, which is one of it's greatest assets, without the need of heavily relying on a total redesign or alteration to what is presented.
