Any narrative universe needs to maintain inside logic, coherence and likelyhood, otherwise it's not a universe, it's a mess that comes apart at the slightest poke. And MP in lore is a mess, it's ridiculous to consider it continuity material. Because there is no story whatsoever to put in any continuity, they are totally insulated, mindless, repetitive missions. It's because I love and respect continuity in fictional universes that I find it dimishing to the lore itself to force into it something that doesn't make the least bit of sense.

Then you should tell that to BioWare, or should have told that to them, before they made the decision (that's past tense there, chief) to incorporate SP lore into MP, in order to coax primarily SP players into the MP arena. ME3's MP is about story and story integrity (or I should say, it is restricted by those elements). If you think that was a poor design decision from the outset, we can (and would) have disagreements about that. But there's no disagreement to be had about what the mode was billed as and what our expectations from it should be as a result (namely, adherence to the lore).XxTaLoNxX wrote...

Crysis - There is only one working Nanosuit.... not millions. And that nanosuit had to assimilate alien DNA to achieve the abilities that it has...

We need Protheans. Putting lore into MP was an extremely stupid idea in the first place and can be easily changed.

They can add DLC for finding a cache of lost frozen protheans for MP if desired (diminishing Javik's tale as a result)

Anyway, Everyone who is pro-prothean, if you have a valid arguement/suggestion for DLC explaining the presence of protheans, great. I love it when new ideas are presented that don't seem too 'spur of the moment' (bad wording)
If not, please understand when people such as myself wish to verbally tear you apart or come up with a reason for protheans being there.
In all seriousness, stop getting so hostile about a suggestion, it's embarassing

And I will say, don't get me wrong. I want to play a prothean as much as anybody (green biotics are simply awesome). I just think they need to work within the lore first and foremost. If they came out tomorrow and said that the salarians had been succesful in cloning protheans using Javik's DNA (and accelerating their growth, I guess) or some such, I'd, deep down, be a bit happy. But I also understand why it would be a poor decision, from an (and this is a dirty phrase nowadays) artistic integrity standpoint, given the lore's emphasis upon the gravity of the total extinciton of a race. At least in the cloning scenario, rather than the finding more stasis pods example, the reapers' menace isn't undercut. They still killed every single prothean sans one. The news about the cloning of new protheans would irritate me far less than the news about Javik, in the first place, did.
It's the hypotheticals that involve a whole previously undiscovered colony, or worse, the users that say no lore explanation is needed whatsoever, that I am opposed to, first and foremost. The rest of my opposition is half-hearted, because I can't deny that it would be pretty sweet (but I totally respect and understand those who are a bit more opposed than I am, as I stated).
