I think I should be happy about this news, but honestly I can't be because I don't know what her lines are going to be. I half expect it to be "sorry Shepard, I thought we were going to be friends, but Star-Jar says I want to kill you, and Star-Jar know best."

On the possibly big assumption that this is for the ending DLC it's pretty good news, implying that there's more to it than just a few random cutscenes showing different shots of things blowing up. Getting some of the regular cast in suggests taking it seriously.

The EC is priority, they have stated as such. But I don't think it would be a bad idea to get her to record dialouge for DLC either.

Although ME2 DLC didn't dialouge for characters other than Shepard and the central characters in the DLC.

It's either an EDI centric DLC or the EC.

The last thing we need is an epilogue of EDI making robotic love to Joker and then explaining all the plot holes to her semi-robotic children.

Didnt they already do the whole half robot - half human on a new uninhabited planet thing in Battlestar Galactica anyway?

It would be nice if all the VAs were going to do more VOs, but it would be silly to take that for granted. Look at ME2.

No squad VO in Overlord.
No squad VO in Shadow Broker.
No squad at all in Arrival.
