Could also be a lead in to the Guardians of the Galaxy movie they are working on.

And I hope they make the Ant-Man movie before Avengers 2, so we can finally get Ant-Man and Wasp on the team

GotG would be my bet as well given how much of the line up have a history or connection with him

Tazzmission wrote...

thats what everyone thinks honestly

i admit again i dont read much marvel and only know of thanos from the silver surfer cartoon from fox kids and thats it

ive done alot of research on him and he sounds wickedly crazy

Trust me on this if you can get a chance try and read the following

Silver Surfer: Rebirth of Thanos
Thanos Quest
Infinity Gauntlet

they all lead into each other and offer a really good look at Thanos as a character and tell a cracking story with some gorgeous art as well.

Unfortunatly, I don't think we'll get to see him square off agains the Silver Surfer.  Since it looks like he's stuck at FOX.

not true! there was a ss movie in the pipeline but was scraped do to how ff 2 did

it was actually gona take plase after fantistic four rise of the silver surfer

I think Blastback was more referring to the fact that Fox owns the film rights rights to Fantastic Four (which includes Galactus, Annihilus, the surfer and presumbly the other heralds among others). So Surfer can't go head to head with Thanos in the movies as his rights are with Marvel studios unless Marvel were to regain the rights to them.

Which isn't going to happen anytime soon now with the news about the FF reboot

Yeah i'd agree with that, the action is great but the character interaction is even better. It's also exceptionally funny and had the entire cinema roaring with laughter multiple times especially during "puny god" and hulk's sucker punch.

I'm just worried about the story. Is it a generic superhero movie story or is it something a bit complex?

It was your basic origin movie. Great fun, but not really thought provoking.

If you're expecting something like "The Dark Knight"  you'll be dissapointed.

Tazzmission wrote...

well apparently in thor 2 the villain will be the enchantress

Really?

I wanted it to be Loki. Or Lady Loki. He hasn't gotten nearly as much development or screen time as he/she deserves.

imo avengers was lokis movie

he was one evil mfer and the guy who plays him did an amazing job because this isnt the same loki from thor

i was rooting for him to win believe it or not in avengers because thats how cool he is

It is the same actor LOL

Bingo bango.

If we get a Silver Surfer movie any time soon, it's likely gonna be a FOX movie.

Finally saw it myself. Wow. God bless you Joss Whedon. Few minorish gripes, like Cap not geting to kick enough ass in my opinion, or getting to be really inspiring, but hey, it was 99.5% perfection.

Just got back from watching it.

It's awesome.

Hulk is the definite highlight of the film. Lets just say there's a 30 sec moment with Loki and Hulk and is one of the funniest **** I've seen in a while.

Agreed.  Also the Thor/Hulk scene just after that was priceless too.  I think the cinema I was in laughed more at that sucker punch then at the Loki SMASH! scene.

There are 2 clips after the credits guys and gals ;) The one you've discussed, and at the VERY end a short clip (nothing major or important, but it was funny *and awkward*).

Never really like the Hulk before, but after this, he's kin of my hero. Mostly because of how he, uh, 'interacts' with Thor. *I dislike Thor. Greatly.*

This is the most fun I've ever had at the theatres. EVER.

And TDKR trailer was, I don't think, new. Prometheus and Spider-man were much better imo. So hyped for those two movies.

Very happy Black Widow actually had character *finally!*

My only complaint is that I had to tell some chick to turn off her phone. And she gave me a dirty look. *Because we go to a sold-out show to play on our phones herp a derp.* I was courteous enough to turn off my arc reactor, geez.

It's pretty much confirmed: on whedonesque they're talking about 40 minutes of cut material for the Blu Ray / DVD.

Anyway, I'm so jealous now: we didn't have the second extra clip after the credits :/

It was new insofar as this was the first time it was shown in theaters, but the trailer itself was first shown (on YouTube) by Warner Brothers on Tuesday, I think. It included a small bit of stuff from the previous teasers, but was almost wholly new material.

The entire theater I was in laughed at that part. Even thinking about it now still brings a smile to my face.

Anyway on-topic if you haven't seen this movie GO NOW. It takes a while to get going but it's worth it. My only gripe is that the Hulk needs more scenes. Otherwise it's great and definetly deserves a watch.

Just got a chance to see Avengers here. It was well worth the money to see. So many good funny moments but Hulk stole the show I think. Characters all seemed to flow with each other. Kinda surprised at how well it was done.

Ya and with that 3rd hour (if they do a Directors Cut on Blu-Ray/DVD) put in WarMachine.  He must've got edited out in the cutting room.  I really liked the movie but at the end I was like "WTF was WarMachine??"  I mean Don Cheadle was on the cast list on RottenTomatoes, so I assumed he'd be in this movie.
