Like the new patch, not digging the spell nerfs.
"If you don't like something, change it", right?
As far as I understand (from reading the wiki), in order to undo Patch 1.02's spell nerfs I need to restore the cooldown and duration values of affected spells to their pre-patch values. To do that I need to edit abi_base.2da, but if I make changes to the file, the next patch will wipe them out and I'll need to reapply them.
Can I create some kind of override file that will only override certain rows in the abi_base.2da?
Help appreciated.
Is it possible to override only some individual entries in abi_base.2da?

Not sure if that's possible to redeclare in a M2DA a row already in the base/original 2DA. I'd say it's not, but don't quote me on that and try.
Either way, what I meant to say is that you are maybe running straight into compatibility problems if you're completely replacing the abi_base table.
Let's take an example :
- The addon MyThingy properly extends the abi_base table with a few rows from an M2DA. Every thing is fine, everybody's happy.
- Unfortunately your abi_base replacement is parsed some time after the MyThingy overrides. If you're lucky it'll be read before any other mod's override, but luck isn't that trustworthy.
So, if your replacement table is parsed after the override's of any mods extending the M2DA, what'll happen ? I'm not sure, never ran into this scenario myself, but my guess is your complete table will completely flush the previous M2DAs and restart a new table from scratch, and without the said M2DAs.

Sure you can modify rows in M2DA's that are also in the original 2DA file. Just remove all the rows you don't want to edit from the ABI_base xls file, change the CD and whatever else you want to change for your selected items/abilities. Save the file as ABI_mychanges.xls. Convert the xls to a gda file (which in this case we call m2da), place the file in your override directory and you're good to go.

Yep, as long as it's just a M2DA table, things should go well.

And indeed they did, removing extra rows and changing what I needed worked like a charm.
