I was looking at Metacritic and came across something intereting which I just thought I'd share. It's probably not going to come as a SURPRISE to anybody, but it's interesting to point out.
If you look up movie releases and go back to Feb 3, you see an interesting spread.
1-39 (Negative) - 6 titles.
40-59 (Mixed) - 18 titles.
60-100 (Positive) - 7 titles.
The majority of titles falls into the "Mixed" category, despite the category being half the size the size of the other 2 categories.
Compare it to games released since Jan 31.
PS3
1-49 (Negative) - 0
50-74 (Mixed) - 29
75-100 (Positive) - 26
X360
1-49 (Negative) - 2
50-74 (Mixed) - 34
75-100 (Positive) - 29
Negative reviews make up HALF the grading system for games, and yet we only see 2 titles on either system for negative? If it followed the same system as movies, for X360 there would 0 Negative, 13 mixed, and 52 positive. The spread seems ridiculous enough on it's own, let alone compared to Movies.
