I'm be melee duel weilding.

I'm still a little confused what is best. I'll be downloading the new patch 1.02 btw which is supposed to fix dex damage.

Is it better to go longsword/dagger, or dagger/dagger? Should I concentrate more on dexterity, or balance dext and cunning? There is no combat log, or exact descriptions of talents, so it's difficult for me to properly see what rogue talents and specs are best.

Are there any duel weilding talents I should avoid? Rogues have so many talents available, I know I can't get them all.

The definitive thread on the topic.

TLDR version: dagger/dagger, pure cun for max dps, pure dex for unhittable defense, mix for uh, a mix.

You can get Bibdy's Tooltips mod for that. It'll need 1.02 updating though.

thanks, very informative. seems like dagger/dagger with cunning build is what I'll go for. I prefer daggers anyways as they seem more rogue-ish. Although dexterity seems more natural for a rogue, but I understand this game works differently.

And I already spent one point in deft hands (opening locks) or maybe I started with it as a dwarf noble. Kind of a waste if I don't really need it. But I don't want to restart.

pure cun/pure dex/mix are all quite viable. you dont have to feel like youre gimping yourself with one of them

I have main hand with longsword and second hand with dagger, does very well. Both currently equipped with runes, nearly 30 on each hand.

This is my constant when applying combat tactics and techniques:

It doesn't matter how much damage or how fast you can hit your foes, as long as you can hit them. What truly does matter is how frequently they can hit you and how much it hurts. If all you can do is whittle away at your foe, you will still win if they can give you nothing but a scratch.

Got this with added runes to sword. I got a 148 and higher kills. Loved it.
