Hello everyone! I have a question and I hope that I can find the answer here.

My father is in the States now, I am from Romania. I purchased Mass Effect 2 from my country, sadly I cannot find Mass Effect 1 in any stores (I collect games, I do not want to get the digital Mass Effect) and I was hoping if my father could buy the game from there, knowing that it would be cheaper.
But this is where I am a little afraid: I know that game versions differ from continents. Mass Effect 2 that I have now is an EU version, and if my father will purchase M.E.1 from the states, that would make the game to be a different version.

Is it possible for this to affect my option to transfer characters? Will it cause me any problems?

I hope you will find an answer.

I have waited to see if anyone else would at least tell you "Hello, we read your question." I have no answer. This is a place where gamers talk to each other about technical matters, but the forum season for 2011 / 2012 is almost over. Every year, places like this are left behind in a mass rush to enjoy the nicer weather outside, or at least get away from home more often.

The fact is, ME-2 had already mostly run its race before April of 2011, so when the fall of 2011 arrived, very few experienced game players came back here again, including Europeans. It's possible that EA's Official Support may have an answer in their scripted answers. You can try them c/o the link below at
