Seems to me, a Japanese DA fan, there are not so many DA fans in Japan. Maybe 50k or less ? And while many fans play English versions of the series, as well as Japanese versions, and constantly read this forum, not so many people don't hesitate to answer your questions in English. A typical Japanese attitude. So please don't tell me about my English. I know that.
The movie was good overall, but not so amazingly good.
It was basically a samurai swordplay anime, and those swordplays were quite good. Dragons, yes, there were more than one dragon appearing in the movie, were great. They were beautifully depicted and animated.
Magic was less important in the movie, and mages were mostly treated as firepower. That was a little bit disappointing for me.
The story was pretty straightforward and the setting was not necessarily in the DA world. Even the most famous monsters in the DA world were treated as generic monsters.
(Some fans might argue that point, because Cassandra is Nevarran, and Nevara was famous as the base of dragon hunters in the DA world.)
While the story was not so memorable, I came to like both of the main characters, Cassandra and her companion. They had a few (not many) funny conversations which I enjoyed. Means BoWare-like conversations.
If you have no problem with Japanese anime movies, and like to watch chan-bara, samurai swordplays, you may have some fun with this movie.
Of course, everybody loves to watch dragons flying, I assume.

Thanks. I'll probably pick it up when it comes out.
