Lord Foreshadow was an NPC first in Baldur's Gate where he said that he was heading to Neverwinter. If the player reponded that they doubted that such a city even existed, Lord Foreshadow would reply with "perhaps not yet but soon" which I guess was Bioware's hint that they would one day make a game set in Neverwinter which was Neverwinter Nights.

So Lord Foreshadow predicted Neverwinter Nights. What did he predict as Arl Foreshadow in Dragon Age: Origins? Let's look at his notes:

Books to pursue for future endeavors:

Lost Countenance: Ferelden to Orelesian Phrase Book

-Must not offend the potential landlords.

Theory:

Dragon Age 3 is rumored to have Orlais as an explorable land along with the Tevinter imperium. Alistair in Dragon Age 2 also hinted at problems occuring with Ferelden and Orlais. I think this little tip up above suggests we will be going to Orlais - as rumored - and we'll possibly be playing an Orlesian protagonist.

====

Raising spirits: Offspring and the Fade

-Terrible two's indeed!

Theory:

Well God knows really.

====

Forest Fall: Truth and Legend in the Search for Arlathan

-Survivors? poppycock!

Theory:

Arlathan is the lost city of the elves. Maybe the next game will have us find the city or encounter someone (or something) from the city. Arlathan was located near where the Tevinter imperium arose and since the next Dragon Age could have us exploring there then it might be possible that Arl Foreshadow is foreshadowing that Arlathan might have something to do with the plot or at least some side plot.

====

The Origins of Theses: Knowing More Than Everyone Without Looking Like a Jackass.

-Never get the time to read this. Maybe there's a stage play.

Theory:

Trolololololololol!

====

Assuming Arl Foreshadow is right as he was in Baldur's Gate then these could be hints for Dragon Age 3 or at least future Dragon Age titles. The offspring and fade quote is the most interesting note to me as it hints at something sinister.

I think that Offspring and the Fade is referring to Morrigan's god-child. For some reason that just seems to fit (and with that seemingly being canon... well, it would fit very well). It also makes it sound very sinister, very sinister indeed.

I think I remember Luke (Foreshadow) talking about some of these. I want to say he claimed that these were less prophetic than his earlier incarnations, but I really can't recall.

I'm not sure where the discussion is (I think it was a post on one of the boards here).

Better whip out this again a week after DA3 gets released and see what comes true. God i hope we get to see Tevinter, Orlais is only good if they aren't all like the MotA guy.

I would personally love to see an Arlathan survivor as a party member. And just imagine the badass elven items that would come with the territory!
