When I sign in with my EA account, it usually signs in right away.

Now even though my account info still works, it gets frozen while validating my account.

Anyone got any advice?

This is a Self-Help GAME forum. Only gamers come here, not EA

Dragon Age II PC Technical Self Help.  This forum is for fans and owners of Dragon Age II on PC to assist each other with technical questions and advice. Official game support is provided by Electronic Arts at the link at the bottom of the page.Fans are encouraged to try to assist each other here.

You apparently have a SITE problem. There is a SITE forum to use, if EA seems more useless than usual. If it was a GAME problem, it would have been happening constantly for a year and a half to everyone.  It has not.  It has just started, because EA has just created some new screwup.

Gorath. This is not a SITE problem, (the capitalisation on my part was to point out that yours was un-neccessary)

I, as well as many others, have gone to the section of the website where you register games, and registered them with no issues whatsoever.

however, the game client is unable to validate the fact that we have registered our offline, single player game.

therefore it is an issue within the game client, or it's ability to contact Bioware / EA.

asking for help on this site is not, as you appear to think, a sign of ineptitude, in fact, as it is obviously a TECHNICAL issue, this forum, the aptly named TECHNICAL self help forum, is the best place for us to check first, without resorting to contacting EA's oh-so-helpful CS department.

please remove the pole from your anal cavity.

I agree. This is an issue with the game if you can't play it you can't even get through the installation because it won't finish the validation. Stop telling people they can't discuss the issue in this forum
Gorath remove that pole as stated above

Try reading what has been presented to you.

Since the symptom cannot be a game-originated problem, if it isn't something new, just implemented at the SITE end, then the alternative is that a dozen game players all simultaneously broke their systems themselves, or otherwise did just about the same thing to their operating systems that they should not have done.

Possibly every single one of you is so easily fooled that you are all allowing Microsoft to change whatever it feels like changing, whenever it feels like doing so, in which case, it could be Microsoft's screwup, instead of Bioware's / EA's.

To repeat, there has been no patch after 1.04. Did all however many of you all wait until yesterday to apply that patch? It's been available for at least a month . . otherwise, since this hasn't affected you until now, it isn't a tech question about DA2.

Unfortunately it appears to be an issue at EA's end of things.

The best we can hope for is that they fix this soon . . .

Agreed.

Nope.

And WoW Gorath Alpha you are a piece of work. Do you troll these boards look for something to whine about? I have seen you on several Posts telling people they are the ones at fault, or they are on the wrong Forum.

Takes a very special person to quote themselves.

Gorath, seriously.

you post that quote on so many occasions, yet constantly breach it yourself, by telling people they are blindfolded, blinkered and simply wrong for comming here to find an answer to, or report, a technical fault.

nothing that has been said about you has been a PERSONAL ATTACK, perhaps they have pointed out personality traits that you do not like, but that is simple criticism, not an attack.

Please, learn the difference between the two before insinuating that further posts are attacks against you. There have been no threats, and no insults. merely critical analysis, and in my own case, a piece of rather direct advice.

IF, and i'm not sure this can be true, IF you are not trolling these forums, that is how you come across with your posting style. You appear to believe yourself superior to everyone else, and treat everyone you talk to with a level of arrogant disdain that is quite simply insulting.

as for the two points you quoted.

1) bioware might be, but it is the EA authentication system that is broken.

2) I would suggest taking your own advice before you come across as a complete hypocrite.

Thankyou for your time.

Wouldn't it be nice to be playing rather than following a forum? So much for my 3 day weekend. Maybe it will be fixed so I can play next weekend.

I take it that this issue is still occuring for people other than me then? I called EA support and they claimed there were currently no server issues...

Try again. On another thread, it was reported they could get on about 7 minutes ago. I can't but at least two other people could.
