Let alone the fact that you never had a blonde squadmate in the Mass Effect games, how come we never had a blonde love-interest? My male-shep would have been served well with a hot bombshell with a sexy 1950's hairstyle, you know, like the one with a blonde curl covering one eye?

It has been stated in one of the books (can't think of which) that the recessive trait for blonde hair has become somewhat of a rarity. They specifically draw attention to this in regards to Kahlee Sanders.

No, just fiction.

Recessive traits don't work that way.

Recessive gene is recessive.

(Technically, redheads should disappear long before blondes.)

Conrad Verner wasn't enough for you?

Edit: oops nevermind.

The genes don't dissappear.

2 brunettes can get a blonde if there are blonde genes in the "bank" when they mix up the genes.

I wager there would be just as many blondes in the future as there are now (not-withstanding dying fads, ofc.).

It's painfully obvious he's not a natural blonde.

Because they're all working at the M&Ms factory as quality checkers and throwing away all the E's and W's and 3's.

Real reason: blonde hair renders oddly. It tends to make already poor face models look washed out, and changes colors to green at random. Femshep can look fine with blonde hair, but some of the hair models show the inherit faults of it.

Miranda should have been blonde.

She was in concept art. I would've preferred if BioWare went with her old design.

Considering that blondes would only disappear if actively selected against, yes, there will. But that's what, 2% of the world's population, max? Having few blonde people in the future isn't some scientific mechanic. It's already bloody reality.
