I support giving turians and batarians the Destroyer side-hop.

They already have the roll animation so that is the most likely.

By the way, did anyone else find it extremely strange the first time they did a side hop with the destroyer? I mean, why the hell is a human side hopping.

Because Space Magic.

Supporting at least a side-duck for Turians.

It's a crying shame that the race of Garrus Vakarian and Saren Arcturius (why do all Turians have Armenian names?) is in the state it is in Mass Effect 3's multiplayer.

Aside from the rolling, the fact that there's only two playable ones is really sad.

Buff Turians, let them roll or make them immune to stagger and simply make more of them. Also make Marksman a toggle.

Hahaha! I don't remember why I was googling "dancing turian", and came across this promotional picture from before release. I laughed a lot because he (a sentinel) is shown packing a Widow.  Ahhh, the rules of marketing!

On topic: Yeah, still supporting the turian roll for both soldier and sentinel turians. Proximity mine should be tweaked, too. The cooldown is terribly crippling for him. The other two infiltrators that have that power can get away with a 2 second cooldown thanks to their cloaks - why should the Turian be left with the short end of the stick?

There should be a thread about that.

No, Armenian.

Seriously.  They almost all follow Armenian naming rules.  My wife is half Armenian and I showed her.  She thinks that some of the devs are Armenian and threw them a bone.

Personally, I think they should all be named Marklar.

I... never noticed that. How did I never notice that?

As for the topic, it's mystifiying that this is still even an issue. Maybe they'll see sense with the next patch and my poor clumsy sentinel will suddenly be able to tumble through open space and not just between two pillars.

Ok so, here is a Turian.

Look at those legs! Those are predator legs!

I always pictured Turians as really fast sprinters because of those legs. They should be faster than Krogan considering this anatomy, and even faster than Batarians.

But no, they are the slowest race of the multiplayer, with no dodge, not even a side hope, and it just makes no sense! Balance or Lore wise.

Lore wise, well, we have their anatomy, and also the fact that they are the best trained soldiers in the whole universe.

Balance wise, we now have the Paladin, or the Destroyer, which have the same shield health as them, while also being way more mobile.
There is also the Batarian, which have more shields, health, and speed!

"But the Turians got the stability racial bonus!" Well. The Batarian got their racial spare ammo bonus as well, and it didn't stop Bioware to make them faster and stronger.

The fact that they are uncommon doesn't justify all this unbalancing, Turians should definitely get some love.
And give us Turian ladies in the process. <_<

Also Turian melee move should be a front kick which would instantly stagger or knock out opponents! I'm with those legs and claws.

Are you sure the writers weren't trying to go for Roman/Latin-esque names? The way they've presented Turian culture and their Hierarchy certainly seems like it. A lot of parallels between the Roman Empire and the Turian Hierarchy if you think about it. Hell, Garrus even has that quote "All empires fall, we can only hope that what we leave behind inspires respect" or something to that effect.

Bump. It's really stupid that they can't even side hop. Was BW drunk when they made the Destroyer ? He makes the Turian Soldier almost obsolete and he has a ****load of shields and he can side hop if he really wants to. Power creep at its finest.

"Turian" is based off of "Centurion*", as well as their entire culture in general being based off of the Romans, so it stands to reason that their names are indeed Latin. They're even structured similarly.

*Which makes Cerberus Centurion Troopers that much more creepy.

And also... while they don't necessarily "need" one, I would be in full support of this. Turians need a competitive edge.

They might've been good on release, but with enemy super-buffs and multiple DLC class releases, they're at a pretty large disadvantage on multiple fronts. They need a buff, an adjustment if you will, and not just to their mobility.

But, mobility is a start, so... yeah. Buff 'em.
