Sorry, but I strongly disagree with this. Krogan VG is amazing on gold and well know for soloing reapers gold, and Batarian soldiers are perfectly viable. Also you place way to much stock by N7 lvl. I meet plenty of people with N7 1000+ who can't hit the broad side of a barn. And have a N7 rank of 211 myself, yet I take top rank in almost every game I play. Also SMG's, specifically the hurricane, are fine on Gold, so long as they are not the primary weapon. As for weapon wielded some of it is smart play, (basic weapons be X, non hit scan only as host), but failure to complies no way equals need to kick.

Frankly you should only kick for one of three reasons.

1) Low level period, N7 really doesn't matter, if their that high N7, then they should know better than to try and leech.

2) AFK

3) Sportsmanship, ragers, kick happy, leechers etc.

In all these cases too you should verbally warn them before you kick so they have the chance to adjust or leave on their own terms.

Don't tale this the wrong way, but the attitude you condone here is not very sporting. The only one I really agree with fully is N7<20 and even then I still use my mic to alert them so that can leave happily rather than confused and angry.

Frankly I've played with many of the people you list and won gold. We need people to be less kick happy not more. Kicking should really only be used as a last resort. If you have a highly specific criteria to play with make the game private and invite friends.

Please do not take offense at this, I know it was a little blunt, but I feel strongly that kicking is overused.

Well if the Vanguard isn't the host no reason to play one.

I'm sorry, but that's just BS, especially if it's not a Human Vanguard.  Asari, Drell, and Krogan Vanguards are all solid characters on matchups that favor them (Asari like Cerberus, Drell like Reapers and cramped bombing spaces in general, Krogan are essentially invulnerable in the right hands).

Don't know man.  Everytime I play with a Vanguard that isn't hosting they always get ****ed over and end up in the sky.

I know YOU play on the Xbox 360 so I don't know how its going for you.  However on the PC/PS3 I usually always see them getting sent up into the air, lagging so bad they're walking five feet up in the air, 2sec or more delay in doing a power, this is across all vanguads.  However the ones that get hit with this the hardest is the Human since BC/Nova is their bread and butter.

Batarians are terrible in general on gold.
Pistols are fantastically terrible in comparison to shotguns/snipers on infiltrators.
SMG gives 200%; however, it's capabilities as a viable source of dmg is moot.
Engineer with <200% is viable, but not most efficient.
Falcon without host is a waste of time.
Common weapon < X shows lack of experience
Turian soldier was not an exclusion.

This is a troll. Most of that list is viable by a large number of players. A good player can make any of it work.

 N7 rank doesn't mean a thing. I've seen guys with 65 N7 be great teammates and score well and I"ve seen guys with 600+ N7 blow chunks.

To be fair newman I doubt he's a troll as he actually answers some of these. I just think he has a mentality that 90% of the community strongly disagrees with and (No offense OP) probably didn't realize he was in the minority until he posted this.

Nope. This is the list, possibly incomplete, that I go by for my gold runs. I get approximately 1 failed gold attempt in 20+ runs with randoms using this strategy.

This is wrong...if they have a super high N7 and roll with a low level character, they are not leeching, they are leveling up. I played several successful matches last night where 3 of us were less than level 10 on gold

Frankly, I think this thread is a great idea. It's great to have a handy list, so that we know who we should and shouldn't kick when we are going to play gold.

Thanks OP! In fact, I'm gonna follow your example and start a kicklist of my own. You know, just to keep track of the things to avoid in gold:

The Soldier is a viable class after Adrenaline Rush and Frag Grenades got a buff. The Turian has always been a good class. As for the Scorpion and Falcon off-host, I'll agree it's a bad move. Sentinels and Adepts with heavy weapons can be very effective. They won't focus on casting, but will be all-around efficient with both powers and weapons.
