Is anyone else playing this? It's actuallty pretty brilliant and is decision making heavy, fans of RPG's will probably like this alot. It's on Xbox live, Playstation network and PC. Ofcourse it's probably not very long as it's only the first episode of five.

I'm still in the middle of playing it at the moment, but so far so good. It's also recieved some decent reviews.

Is it a point and click game? It looked like it in a gameplay trailer i saw inside some petrol station, you mess around with a radio in it.

It looks interesting but I'm not convinced that I want to spend money on it. Does it actually feel like a horror?

On a side note I've thought for months that Funkcase's avatar was a Thunderbird's character and only just realised its Ashley...

Slightly, it's more horror than any other zombie games I can think of, but it does deal with the old zombie movie cleches. It's got a pretty compelling story and characters (the voicework is pretty good too)  but it isn't a very long game sadly (it's only episode 1 so far though, there will be more) but it was pretty cheap so worth it considering eveything else I would say.

Characters take note of things you say, your loyalty to them, if you've lied about something and what not, I think this will all have consequences in future episodes. It's a point and click pretty much, but it's a storytelling game more than anything.

The first episode is fantastic, if all of the others are this good then we're in for a real treat. As Funk says, the game is built around the choices you make and it seems as though the decisions you make will actually make a big difference in future episodes. Most of the characters are really well developed too, I found myself quickly getting attached to them which is rare for me.

If you don't play games for the challenge and just enjoy a really character-based story with lots of decision making, it's definitely worth a shot.

Really good so far. This is a storytelling, character driven game. Characters you meet, some you will adore and desperately want to protect, others, not so much. Depends how you play it. Good, bad, or somewhere inbetween. Decisions and responses seem pretty important to the direction of the story, making replay pretty good.

But, making these decisions may not be as easy as you may think, because sometimes you have to make snap choices. Yep, time limits on your actions and responses. And a few times, I thought, whoops, don't think I should have said/did that. Characters remember, so be careful.

I definitely suggest trying the demo. You should know pretty quick if it's your thing or not. I'm looking forward to episode 2.

LOVED IT. I kept checking XBL all week waiting for it to be released on Arcade, and when it didn't come out on Wednesday (as many have said), I decided to just jump the gun and buy it for Mac on Steam. I think that Telltale did a really good job of putting you into the story, and I found myself oftentimes making decisions based on what I felt at the moment (or what I would honestly do) instead of thinking how I wanted to game to play out in the end. I think it would have been very easy for them to butcher the game, but, surprisingly, it's pretty true to the franchise.

First episode was awesome. Looking forward to the others, and hoping that they maintain the same level of tension and suspense.

Edit: Iwould also add that the game may be better for those who interested in story, as opposed to gameplay.. as it plays mostly as a point and click, i.e. there's nothing innovative about the gameplay.

XBL has a free demo available as April 27th. I think I'll try it out. I like the TV series alot. As a sidenote, the main protagonist (Lee Everett) is voiced by Dave Fennoy who also voiced Jacob Taylor's father and Warlord Okear in ME2

THANK YOU.  I kept having a nagging feeling that the voice sounded so familiar, but couldn't place it.

Just finished also. I was worried about having a kid along since they don't seem to be done well in games, but Clementine is good company.

Lots of praise in this thread. I was taking a wait and see attitude with this game, but after reading some of these posts I'll have to buy this game down the line. Not nearly enough good adventure titles coming out these days.

This. Clementine is one of the very, very few childs in a game, that feels genuine. She's brave and smart. I like her. Duck, on the other hand, is another matter... :P

All in all it's an amazing game, I had very low expectations, but after it got a lot of praise I caved in and bought it. Now it's the long wait for episode 2.

Quite - as a massively huge TWD fan, I immediately picked it up and loved it. I thought it really captured the spirit of TWD and found it quite enjoyable. I saw the preview of the second episode, and I can't wait for it! I think there's actually some replay value too because there are major choices that seem like they will affect things down the road. I'm interested in seeing how they play out differently (especially one particular life & death situation).

Im quite obsessed with TWD too (though only for half a year so far). I will definitely do more playthroughs, maybe as a total d!ck or just saving different people... loved seeing familiar faces in it too.

I've been wanting to get this. Big fan of TV series and the game looks fun. Was thinking of waiting until all 6 episodes are out though or Steam drops a sale on the content packs.
