I don't think they'd consider that, though--least not yet, considering they've only been holed up for a total of two months. Maybe they'd grow food (or at least learn how to) once they find a place to settle down, fortify and build anew but right now they've been on the run for the past few days and constantly on the move with Walkers everywhere after all the **** in the motel.

They're barely holding onto today, let alone months down the line. The boat offers breathing room, supplies and getting their **** together.

Hell, show-wise it took them eight months before they considered the prison.

I can't recall but was Hershel open to the idea of fortifying his farm in the show? Did it ever come up?

And to be fair to the characters in the show, they were largely unaware of the prison's existence or even location. But the idea of a home they could defend had crossed their minds numerous times, as Rick often talked with Hershel about letting them stay on his farm.

Lee and Kenny have been on two farms though and seen the pros and cons to it. Food and supplies and if fortified, a defendable haven. If not, it could result in more cases like Shawn. So I think they could consider that a few days after getting on the boat -- at most.

Hell, they did a good job making the motel reasonably safe and Kenny was the one who came up with that idea first. The only reason that failed was because Ben decided to be an idiot about things and ended up screwing them over.

Though they were gonna have to leave soon enough anyway, as Macon was lacking in food/meds by that point anyway.

You'd think the group would've had the supplies stored in the RV once they got them prior to the whole bandits incident, incase they *did* have to make an escape. At least then they'd have food and supplies there.

And I'm guessing that they didn't bother looking in the hardware store during the following months for weapons. As far as we've seen, the axe and the occasional melee weapon they've picked up is about the extent of their silent arsenal.

Problem with fortified place is zombie herd.
You'd need several large walls for a place to be safe.

The prison isn't really safe , one herd and the place is pretty much overrun.
They would be trapped in the buildings , it would be pretty bad .

And if it's not zombies attacking you , It's other humans who will , sadly.

Problem is it's like they never have any Plan B.

I mean people in the middle age with their castle and everything would have bigger chance to survive a zombie apocalypse than people from the walking dead ^^

It's too close and yet too far away. I'm not ready and even so there's nothing i look forward to more than the last episode.

I'm both looking forward to and dreading Ep. 5. It's gonna likely gonna be a bloodbath - we know Lee is pretty much done for, and I'm worried I'm gonna lose a lot of good people, Kenny included. I hope I can do better than I had been in the last four episodes.

Only from the outside. If you had appropriate resources and got everyone into the prison itself, you'd be fine. Provided you sealed up certain areas leading from the outside-in so that the zombies don't get in itself.

And in the absence of electrical power, rely on torches/flashlights.

Really, all you need to deal with a herd of walkers storming a prison are survivors, food, meds, and something that you can fire off towards the distance to get the herd to go in that direction.

Like a crapton of mortars.

The dangerous part about a zombie apocalypse is never the zombies. They're just an obstacle, a minor hindrance. Their only strength is in numbers, and even then you can defeat them no matter their size because of their shared trait: idiocy.

Well, save for Land of the Dead zombies. They knew how to use weapons.

The real danger from a ZA world is the living.

Hide in a cellblock, make a lot of noise and attract the entire herd towards the closed cell doors and slowly start picking them off.

Sounds like a horrible idea but it could clear a herd if necessary.

That might trap you eventually though, depending on the size of the herd. If they ended up falling on top of one another, you might have a 300 corpse wall moment.

If they're only in one particular area, then you could probably manage it assuming you can take an alternate route to the zombie infested area once it's been cleared.

I hope the DLC fixes my save. I can't even load my old save, just keep being asked to have a minimal or full HUD and if I click any chapter apart from 1, I will have randomised choices done for me

My save is completely snookered at the moment. I even tried start new game and got to the farm, I could not even load that save either.

And when I do start the game, my saves are gone so I have to restart it again to make it appear but then the issues I posed above happen.

Seeing that middle image just give me the feeling that leaving Ben behind might just come back and bite me. Which of course is awesome but it will totally wreck me the damage from that choice hurt Clem in some way :<

Well seeing the tons of zombies makes me feel like I just sent everyone to their death.
Clementine could be already dead ...I'm not sure she will survive , she's such a easy way to punch the players in the guts.

Well it feels like the 21 gonna be a really depressing day ...

Yep, I fear that too. Except in my case, it's Kenny that decided not to follow :/

Watched it. Looks awesome!

Let me tell you one thing: There can be thousands of zombies and freaks in that town... nothing... absolutly nothing is going to stop my Lee from reaching Clementine and getting her to safety!

IGN gave 9,5 for the final episode: http://www.ign.com/a...ime-left-review

There's no spoilers for the finale in the review.

I hope you’re ready to hear about The Walking Dead: The Game for a long, long time. In the next few weeks, the title from developer Telltale Games will likely win many Game of the Year awards. Moving into 2013, people will reference the series over and over as the benchmark for story-telling in games. And historically, it will stand as the game that reinvented or at least repopularized adventure games.

All the reviews I've read mention a lot of big choices and this frightens me.

... in a good way.
