Didn't care much for the characters.
Felt like a pixel hunt at times.
Overall, great game.
What else is left? The characters are the game. Without a general like for the characters and how they're affected by events, it's hard to see why you'd like the game.
I like seeing how my desisions affected the story.
Any group of characters would have been suffice.

(Some spoilers ahead....)
For example, I lost Carley because Lilly was convinced she'd stolen the medicine and shot her, and I didn't reload even though Carley was one of my favorite characters so far. And, in fact, I'm still not sure what I could have done differently, other than possibly throwing Ben under the bus and claiming it was him. My best guess was that whoever had been trading the meds to the bandits (and I did kind of suspect Ben over Carley) was actually doing it for a non-selfish reason, and so I focused on trying to calm Lilly down in the hopes that the culprit would confess and explain his/her actions. Could I have found a way to do that more effectively without either Ben or Carley getting killed? I don't know, and I'll probably end up doing at least one more playthrough just to explore some of these possibilities.
On the downside, when the game does shift to action mode, it does suffer from the "everything button" - I'm pointing and clicking to do everything from shooting walkers to opening doors to picking up tools to messing with a power generator. The only exceptions seem to be the "press Q repeatedly" scuffles with other people or walkers. I realize it's difficult to create an interface that accommodates both traditional "action" (i.e. combat) as well as more ordinary physical tasks, but there are times when this just feels like "press a button a bunch of times in order to get to the next scene," especially when it seems unlikely that there's more than one path through the situation. For example, is there a scenario at the start of Episode 3 where Lee *doesn't* fall and hit his head after Kenny tries to pull him onto the roof? I'm guessing there isn't, but maybe I'm wrong.
Also, in Episode 2, maybe this was metagaming, but I had figured out (a) that the farm family were untrustworthy and then (

Season 2 can't come soon enough. Seen as the game was so financially successful, I presume they'll have a bigger budget, hopefully they make more than 5 episodes.
You know, I'm not sure that's the best thing in the world, because the series was very well-paced. I'm not sure an extra episode where they all sat around the motor inn would have helped the storyline. As it is, Episode 2 almost felt like a (still very good0 diversion from the storyline, save the important plot development at the end.
Of course, I have no idea what they have planned for Season 2. Ten episodes could be appropriate, or 100. (Ok, that's pushing it.)
5 episodes per season is pretty much Telltale's standard.

That scene does play out slightly differently depending on your choices in the game, but there is nothing you can do to save Carley. The main choice that affects that scene is whether you saved Carley or Doug in the Pharmacy.

In that do you consider Lee a hero at the end -- regardless of whether Clem killed him or not -- or do you think he became a villain because of what he did to the Campman's family -- or indirectly allowed.
One of my favorite moments in Ep. 5 is when the Campman asks "Do I look like a monster to you?" and Lee can respond back with "We're all monsters now."
"We're all monsters now."
I gave the same response to Campman, and it was a great line.
I still see Lee as a hero however, despite all the tragedy that befell Campman's family when Lee's group stole their food and supplies. Is a pack of wolves evil when it steals another pack's kill, potentially condemning the pups of the pack that lost its kill to starvation?
The way I see it, the rules that govern civilized societies went out the window when civilization collapsed. Lee's group was only guilty of doing what they had to to survive. Without it, it may have been their group that ended up dead on a roadside rather than Campman's family. I also think Lee was correct when he reassures Clementine that they aren't like the bandits when they take the food and supplies.
Of course none of that makes what happened to Campman's family any less tragic. Maybe the fact that their deaths weren't caused by bandits, but rather just desperate survivors like themselves, makes it all the more tragic.

In a real life situation I likely would've, though.

Same here. I really wanted to, but I couldn't with Clem watching. But in real life I probably would've too.

I felt bad that someone was going to go without, but my obligation wasn't to them. And be honest, that **** cut his wife's zombie head off and carried it around in a bowling bag, consulting it as if were the wizard behind the curtain. Something tells me he was one step away from bat-**** before the whole zombie thing happened and I am not saying he had anything to do with it--but he gave me the creeps while telling me about his son's disappearance--so let's not fool ourselves into thinking that he went coo coo for coca puffs just because his supplies got stolen.
Yeah, I took those supplies and I'd do it in real life too if I had someone helpless and vulnerable depending on me for survival.

Loving the game.
Beginning to worry about Kenny though. In the beginning, I naively though it would be wise to stick with my buddy Kenny. Clearly I didn't know who he was, and now I'm finding out that he's, well, he's not really my kind of person

Kenny is my favorite character. He was my Lee's best friend and the person I wanted to care for Clem. He was top shelf in my book. My Earl Hickey.

I ended up choosing Carley because she had a gun and had already demonstrated that she was capable with it. I thought that she'd be a greater loss than Doug, and I was hoping that she'd might be able to save him before he got yanked out the window.

You should've known from the start considering Katjaa basically describes him driving over people.

In a perfect world, I'd like to say I would stop and help anyone I could and that I would leave no one behind, etc. In all honesty, if I had my family depending on me for survival--especially my child--and knowing that in a zombie situation that even the smallest bite could turn someone, I probably would have kept driving too.
Not saying I would throw anyone under the bus so to speak, but if I were fleeing for my life and was driving, I am not so sure I'd stop and help random people. I don't really see that as a blight against Kenny.
Most of my friends who played hated him for running with Duck and not helping Shawn. I was disappointed, but I didn't hold it against him. He had a lot of flaws, but loved his family and they came first no matter what. As it should be.

I did a Doug playthrough, but I felt like the fact that you couldn't reveal your past to the group and the lack of the little Carley romance subplot kind of made the game feel a little emptier...

I saved Doug in one playthrough. He is a pretty neat guy, since he made an alarm system out of junk.

Nope, only problem I've had is sometimes when I start Episode 5 it would start in Episode 1.

I saved Doug because the group already had military/gun type without Carley.
Also, who could resist the socks with sandals look?

I was worried I lost all my save dat and would have to play 1-4 again, and at this point I was dieing to see episode 5 so that would have been a major bummer, didn't turn out that way though.
I'm also kind of suprised some people here have played it on 360, sad that this was an issue only happened on episode 4 for me though.
