Now you are thinking in Aliens.

In other news, I recently read an article that The Walking Dead has generated over $40 million in revenue since Episode: One, which will be used in continuing to grow the company in works for 'Season Two'. Other than that, nothing much else.

That's good news. I hope season two will incorporate some choices we made in the first season. I doubt it, though, given how little consequence there was for each choice. They really need to try and make choice and consequence more significant. Blade Runner changed entirely depending on which place you tackled first, how you spoke to suspects, and who you wanted to trust. I'm hoping they learn more from that game in regards to C&C.

Kotaku had a Q&A session with readers asking questions with Dave Fennoy, Lee's VA.  But they had technical problems so Dave was nice enough to record his answers.

This game(and I use that term a touch losely!!") was so awesome. omg. Never experienced video game characters or writing that exist in same ballbark. Maybe PS:T I dunno. Awesome game. I claims this is 1st time in hisotry of video games where writing approaches a good TV series in quality.

Important decisions are presented in such lovely way. It is cool questions of life and death must often be made fast and in hectic conditions. When you combine that to checkpoin saves, I wager most people end up playing this fair&square by occasionally making bad decisions and not often bothering to rewind them.  I did that once and feel very dirty about it::( DAMN YOU BEN.

Like..what, 15 years after gaming industry made fools out of themselves with the whole " interactive movie!!" hype, we see an interactive movie that is actually good.

When writing is of this quality, I guess it makes sense they sacrifice things like genuine puzzles on altar of story and it's flow. Still, it would have been nice had there been one problem or puzzle or whatver in this game that takes player some actual work to solve.

It brings such joy to see this game doing so well. Invest heavily on
story and writing. Make a story that is all about common people and
their survival and AAA  overdosed public tired of marvel superheroes
saving   world from dragons and Russian generals  will appreciate.  Who
knew!

Largest Finnish gaming mag had both it's readers and editors voting this as Game of the year.

I was poking around the Walking Dead Wiki, and I found out it's
speculated that Christa is pregnant. Damn, I'm on my third walkthrough,
and I didn't expect a thing. I guess I just haven't been paying
attention. I wonder why the hell she hid it from the group. Now, I'm
definitely sure her and Omid survived. Her pregnancy could be a really
good plot for the next season.

I liked the subtle way game keeps hinting Christa is preggers. It is never quite rubbed into your face but there are small things...looks,  arched eyebrows, things she and her BF hold important  and whatnots that heavily suggest it. Her reaction to Herr Doctor's video archives is prolly the largest single hint before last half  of C5.  I think game heavily implies at least Lee and Kenny knew..wether or not she told them or they figured it out..who knows!

I realized Christa was pregnant when she got all upset watching the video of the doctor advocating abortion for the woman back in Episode 4.

And personally, I think they should leave the remaining Season 1 characters alone and just go with a new cast for Season 2. At most the older characters should have a cameo, akin to Glenn and Hershel's appearances in the first episode.

That was the same Hershel, huh? I was contemplating on the idea, but thought he was different due to the model they used.

Considering that both live on a farm and have a son named Shawn who got bitten by a walker, I'd certainly say they're the same.

And  besides, they look pretty similar to me.

I'm actually with simfan; I had no idea that was the same Hershel from the comics/tv series. I was actually thinking it was a different character with the same name. I only found out after looking at the wiki. After what happened to his son, I was sure Hershel would've died trying to cure his son or something.

I would have thought that Hershel would have hated Walkers after that. But hey! You're the expert.

Damn it play.com! Send those beauties now!

I think the consequences in TWD are more about your relationship with the other characters. The main plotline is pretty much locked in, in that you arrive at the same locations and face the same crises no matter what, but there is variability in who survives, why, and what sort of terms they are on with Lee and with each other.

You only get a handful of choices as to who survives. I love the game, but overlooking the glaring lack of choice and consequences isn't something we should try to defend. Blade Runner had so many differences in every playthrough it would take months to see all the little bits of difference in each game. Seriously, everytime I started a new playthrough it was a whole new game, and I would be discovering new clues, suspects, and endings. The Walking Dead severely lacked any difference in playthroughs. I know because I went through the game three times. Since they earned so much money off this game, I hope they decide to at least make the plot less linear and implement even half of the choice and consequences presented in Blade Runner.

Lee Everett did not die in my headcanon. He survived and I have an intricate story for what happens to him after Episode 5.

That is my bump to this thread, even though I felt that Lee's story in the game itself was an amazing book ends moment where he began his new life in handcuffs and ended it the same way (potentially).

Wow, you're a horrible person. Poor Lee will become a walking nightmare :pinched:. Who knows maybe Clementine would've needed that bullet. Honestly, I'd rather eat a bullet than become a walker.

Anyways, www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/the-walking-dead-game-writer-teases-an-expansion-from-telltale-games-before-season-2/

the link talks about the possibility of an expansion or something, but then the writer goes into a tangent and talks about issues facing the game. I had no idea how buggy it was. I got it on the PS3, and it played like a dream. I experienced absolutely no bugs. I'm guessing the XBOX and PC are having the issues, which surprises me considering that the PS3 is always the black sheep when it comes to multi-platform games.

actually i can say the same when it comes to experiencing bugs for the game, i'm on the 360, and i'm also pretty sure people are having trouble with the ps3 version so maybe you're one of the lucky ones

I hope Season 2 will allow us to skip cut-scenes and/or dialogue. If not, could we at least have a SAVE option, or just more auto-save moments in the game? Switiching off the game just to reload and having to go through a very long cut-scene makes those 5 minutes a nightmare.

That wasn't what I said.

I said Lee did not die in my headcanon, because I have a headcanon story that he follows. Nowhere did I say he became a Walker in my headcanon.

In the canon game, I killed Lee. In my headcanon, Lee does not die, because my Lee's story stretches beyond Episode 5.

The reviews are in for the Walking Dead: Survival Instincts. The game seemed to have bombed hard. I was actually hoping it would've been at least a mildly entertaining game, but it looks like it is just a horrible mess. The sweat effect looks gross.

I knew it was gonna be terrible the moment I saw that horrendous trailer.

My friend and my stepbrother swore up and down that it was gonna be amazing.

I'll quote my friend's personal message on facebook to me-

"Well I know I said that that walking dead game was going to be good six months ago. but three months ago I changed my mind and I am glad I did."

LIES, YOU CANNOT SAVE YOURSELF

It was sad. I was hoping it'd be great. (Survival Instinct, I mean, Telltale's game kicked ass.)

Activision just saw the success of Telltale and wanted to mimic it with zero effort. I have no idea why these big publishing companies shoot themselves in the foot like this. Activision could've published something new and creative. I mean they had two popular actors from the show and just horribly misused them. Thank goodness Telltale didn't go the route of Activision and just tried to rely on the popularity of the show/comics. They created something that goes hand-in-hand with the love and care that is put into the source material and the tv show.

I wouldn't be surprised f they didn't survive. The Whole game was full of teasings for interesting plot lines that never happened.

What's bad about Survival Instinct? I haven't played it myself, but I can't say it looked terrible.
