Yes- so far only 2 episodes are out, but getting it off Steam gives you the rights to all 5 episodes. The last 3 you'll be able to download as soon as Telltale is finished with them. I think they're targeting mid August for episode 3.
Its worth it. Very fun game with a very engaging story.

Spoilers for episode 1:
I chose Doug. Techies are priceless, any Fallout veteran knows that. lol It was definitely tough, though. Only 23% chose him, the rest saved Carley. I can see why you'd pick the woman, the one who's done most of the shooting, etc.

It's sad when you think about it. So many games have tried the consequence/choice feature in games that it now feels unoriginal. However, TTG was able to do in 2 episodes what Mass Effect couldn't in a whole series. Imagine if these guys had a repeal budget, the games they could make would be mind blowing.
Without spoiling it, the second episode deals with an issue so old in games, that it shouldn't even get a response, but the delivery... Let's just say it'll leave you sick to your stomach.

Yes, true. I think they take the cliches and make it gutwrenching because you do care about the characters. They did a great job with Clementine, not making her scenes too syrupy.android654 wrote...

Just finished episode 1... I thought one cool part was at the end how they show you the percentages of what players chose. Most of them seemed to have been 50-50 except the last one.

I LOVE how they show you what other people did. I wish BioWare gfames and more RPGS did things like that since its likely they're collecting that information.
I chose Carley. I liked Doug, but besides being handy with a gun, I figured if Carley got killed she is the only one that knows about Lee's backstory. I guess you could view that as a reason to leave her behind if you're trying to be secretive, but on the other hand, if you can stay friendly with her, she might be able to have your back about Lee's criminal history since she was a reporter and knew about it. In case some idiot like Larry started spouting off accusations or something.
Episode 2 is even better than episode 1 though...

Episode 2 I think all the choices were also at 50-50 except taking the food out of the car. Most people didn't do it, whereas I did.
At least when I played it, I think only 10-14% or something of people killed both of the people you can kill at the end.

There are real lines drawn, and you have to pick a side. There's no messiah complex, no hero that defies all odds, no overwhelming personality that compels people to his whim. He's human in an extraordinary situation, and his limits are clear to the player. Shepard needed a good dose of that.

And the characters are really strong You can really feel the bond with Clementine. A child character done so well.
One moment I love in episode 2 is when Clementine can say what the barn smells like. What she says is dependent on what you told her in episode 1 when you were in Herschel's barn. So she might say manure or ****. Makes you think just how impressionable she might be with respect to some of the later choices you can make and how those might affect her down the line.

Ya, I killed the first brother. I hated these people. Had to to smooth it over with Clementine, soooooo... we'll see how that turns out.

It's better than the show because the game is set in the comic book universe.Addai67 wrote...

I personally like the show, and the game could be described as being just as close to the show in terms of the universe. The concept isn't original, but the delivery is what makes the show worth watching and the game worth playing.

No the game really is set in the comic book universe. Just look at Hershel, he looks and acts just like his comic self and his farm also looks just like how it did in the comic.android654 wrote...

The game even has Lilly before she shows up in the comic.

Oh, you meant literally adapted from the comic? I though you meant set in the universe. Yeah, if the show was adapted like the game it would be better than it already is. Still pretty fond of Rick and how they handle most of the characters. Even if they have some really ignorantly named and portrayed characters. I'm looking at you T-dog...
His name is still funny after two seasons.
