Support 1st Foundation = Destroy. Humanity is left free to succeed or fail on it's own
Support 2nd Foundation = Control. Humanity heads towards a safe future, but controlled.
Gaia/Galaxia = Synthesis. Humanity becomes part of galactic hive mind

Synthesis is slightly weird tbh, but im trying to ignore that fact. It's probably a good endign even if it's weird.

And I'm afraid that suggestions such as this willingly condemn the writers whilst attempting to elevate those that offer dissenting opinions towards the game's ending.
Which isn't to posit that a dissenting opinion on Mass Effect 3 is wrong, simply that claiming a position of superiority over the creators does everyone - fan/consumer and producer - a disservice.

No, they didn't. The production timelines don't realistically line-up, unless BioWare either a) Had an inside source at Eidos orwrote and created the ending in a few months, (which no, they didn't...).

GRAND NECRO
Rip-off? No more like reuse of content. Like DE was of Foundation books or something else between 1982 - 2000. But ME goes further then just three choices.
NOTE: I HAVE NOT READ THE BOOKS SO AND DON'T KNOW HOW ANY OF THIS APPEARS IN THEM!
Why? Well if think what else there is similar, you got your "evil" organisation who mostly works from shadows MJ12 in DE and Cerberus in ME. Leader of this organisation who wants to dominate world Bob Page and TIM. Righthand guy for leader Walton Simons and Kai Leng. Someone close to you or multiple persons who may ot may not die do to your actions Paul Denton and Normandy crew members. Someone who helps you, points direction and wants you to destroy your foes Tracer Tong and Anderson (sure anderson is more close to you then tracer). All powerful entity who thinks it knows all and want to merge with your brain Helios and Catalyst/starchild.
And that is just after quick look and if you want you can make Disney classics and ME to look same but that is totaly off-topic. But the point is why does it matter if BIO borrowed little of the consept? I mean after little search it appears Foundation books were success and so was DE, so why did ME fail?
My answer: The way bio executed ending in ME. I was and still am ok in endings them self. My bone came all from starchild being the one who tells all choices. Why not put Anderson explain who you couse chain reaction in crucable to wipe all synthetics. TIM boasting way to allow human to merge/ take controll of Reapers before you blow his head off and then chat with starchild how to inital merge prosses. And lets let EDI come upp with idea of synthesis allowing all coexist, and that idea comes from her dating Joker.
