Entered Haven, as I have a few times before.  This time, Sten started up a conversation with me that I don't remember getting before.

Basically he was mad at me for wandering aimlessly around a mountain.  I decided to play the whole "I'm your leader and you'll do as I say" role, and eventually he said "Not anymore.  I'm taking command.  Defend yourself, Warden!"

Sten disapproves -5

Then, I beat him.  He says I'm strong enough to lead and he was mistaken.  I say what happens now is up to him... he says "You lead.  I'll follow."

Sten approves +7

Was cool to see him go off like that.

If you have him at a high enough approval his approval will go up with almost every dialogue choice.  I did the same exact dialogue choices with him at like 20 and him at 95 and the first time he disapproved -5 or 7 or something and the second time he approved +2 or 3.  Sten is the freakin' man.

He actually died in my duel because of poisons.



Still he got up again after.

I stood my ground, giving him tactical reasons for investigating Haven... and he backed down - from a Maker-forsaken mage of all things.

My Mage beat him as well, and he approved with 7. Although I don't know how he does with other classes. My Mage is the only one who made it far enough, even on 'easy'. I'm so ashamed.....

Same here pretty much.  Seems to be a good amount of whining over the patch today.

My second rogue just persuaded him to stay, not sure what I said but there was no duel. I got the duel with my mage though. It wasn't very pleasant for Sten. Crushing prison, wait for it, dead. xD

I didn't have a fight occur, I succeeded at an Intimidate challenge. There was no change in approval when this happened. I may have to try it differently this time, the fight sounds more interesting.

While I can appreciate Sten's honor and tenacity but if he is any indication of the Qunari Ferelden need not have any fear.

While Qunari appear to be tremendous fighters but they suffer from rashness and predictablility. They expect everything to be achieved through brute force. Sun Tzu would have a field day.

I was somewhat baffled on why this wasn't one of the speech options, instead all the options were like "I'm the leader, **** you and get back line."

Sten and Morrigan complain because Redcliffe isn't technically on your ally list. Sure, they support you at the end, but that can be argued to be meta-knowledge.



The reason you go there is because Alistair is like "My old buddy Arl Eamon is sick. We should check it out to help him". The reason he gives is not that Redcliffe could be an ally against the Blight, but against Loghain.

I must have been in to good standing with him, cuz whatever i said to him he just went blabla and last "becareful Kadan" -1 or -5 or +1 is all i could get outta him after trying all the option with save/load. =d
