I added it up:

This actually overstates the drop rate as I'm not sure how many duplicate cards I've gotten.

I actually wrote down the number because I wanted to start a thread about this.

Original gold weapons: 140 gold cards
Resurgence gold weapons: 14 cards
Respect Cards: 10
Consumable Capacity increases: 12 (these start at 2, right?)
Gold Charachters: 42

N7 weapons(not including commendation packs): 8 cards

Total gold slots recieved: 193

N7 chance per gold slot(the PSP had 2) : 8/193 = 4.145 %

So yeah, the drop rate sux. :(

I can really only account for what's in my manifest. It's in my sig.

Total of 7/70 UR cards collected compared to 109/140 R weapon cards and 42/60 R character cards.

I suspected it was that low. I would have guessed about 5%. It's atrocious. The N7 weapons should be considerably better than their counterparts considering their rarity. They need a buff.

Like I said,  I'm not sure how may duplicate characther cards I got(It was some, but I'm not sure how many. ) , so the drop rate is actually lower than that.

They really, really need to make it so you don't get characther chards when appearance and level are maxed.   That drop rate pretty much kills any wish I had to spend real money.   If buying a pack would always get you something you didn't have (and closer to what you want)...that is one thing.   But a sub 5% chance? No way.

when the preimum spectre packs were around I picked up 5 N7 ultra rares, it was a rough ratio of one in every four packs. I'm not entirely sure of the actual number.

Spectre packs no clue how many I bought, maybe around 20+ and only picked up one N7 ultra rare.

Guessing based upon hours of play, but this would be fairly close.

~40 Premium Specter Packs -> 0 ultra rares.
~120 Specter Packs -> 4 ultra rares.

Since I've started recording:

24 Spectre packs: 2 N7s
91 PSPs: 4 N7s

I also picked up 2 additional N7s before I started keeping track of how many Spectre packs were purchased. All I can say is that the drop rate was similarly atrocious.

18 spectre = 2 N7
last premium pack = 18 n7 about in total.

To be honest do you can not put a guess on how often you will drop them and when because I worked out that N7's have better chance of dropping for people at times that would have less people purchasing them.

Not sure about the past. But my last 20-25 spectre packs has yielded 1 N7.

(I keep getting the Paladin, which is great!).

I wish I knew how many Spectre and Premium Spectre Packs I bought overall. I have no idea. I do know that the drop rate is not good though. I have 32 of the 70 unlocks/upgrades and I have played, earned and spent a lot. I just wish I could trade those upgrades so I could upgrade the 3 weapons I actually use to level 10 while ignoring the other 4 weapons I don't use...

I appreciate this info. Did you keep a record of the number of spectre packs you purchased? The number I'm trying to get at is how many packs does it take, on average, to unlock an ultra-rare weapon.

Using the "gold slot" in the denominator may understate the drop rate, because each spectre pack guarantees at least 1 gold card, but sometimes you get more. This means the number of gold cards you received will be larger than the number of spectre packs you actually bought, leading to an understated drop rate.

Your results look promising because 4.145% using the # of gold cards as the denominator means the actual drop rate per spectre pack should be meaningfully higher than that. Your rate may actually be closer to the 6% I've aggregated thus far.

Maybe a coincidence, but since all my gold weapons are at X I seem to get a lot more N7 weapons.

Yeah, because people like you like to spend as much as they can on random drop packs.

One purchase in an hour so is generally needed to get the random effect. If you keep buying Spectre packs one after another, you'll recieve too much similair rewards.

I want to laugh in your face.
Next, I want to break your game.
Use a Mantis X or plan an ability based class like human sential or adept.
Don't blame a loot system on your lack of ability and knowledge.

It's too erratic as I didn't get one for a week of constant spectre packs, then got 5 in 10 packs on one day.

That's fine. That's actually exactly how random numbers work. If the rate were uniform, for example if you could reliably get a N7 every 10th spectre pack or something, that wouldn't be random at all. I'd really appreciate if you could share your data with future purchases so we can get closer to the actual number.

219 spectre packs - 13 ultras
134 premiums - 15 ultras

28 ultras in total

good luck getting more data :)
you're gonna want at least 300 ultra rares in data points, which is a lot o.O

I dont know if these have been included in the first post, but i piled them together and came up with...

883 Spectre Packs; 47 Ultra Rares = 5,3% chance of drop, rounding the figures as you cant buy half a pack:
1 in 19 packs => 19*60.000 =  1.140.000 credits pr Ultra Rare

1220 Premium Spectre Packs, 115 Ultra Rares = 9,4% chance, rounded to:
1 in 11 packs => 11*99.000 = 1.089.000 credits pr Ultra Rare

The difference in price being 51.000 credits is not significant. Having all Rare Cards unlocked, i would recomend buying regular spectre packs as these have a better drop rate of consumeables.
