As per title. I didn't really feel so much of it in ME2, as in everything there felt small (comfortable, but small). In fact, I've noticing myself looking back fondly at some of the memories from ME2, which is very surprising, considering that my Shepard should first of all be happy to be back in the Alliance (which he is).
Anyway, I love and I mean, I really love the vistas at the Citadel. They're absolutely spectacular (massive, monumental, tons of live green and non-ugly white construction material and actually pleasant glass, what's not there to love?), especially from the Presidium Commons and Huerta Memorial hospital. Huge congrats to the devs on the graphics. But there's immersion everywhere else too. And I gotta say I really love the characters from the Normandy hanging out at the Citadel, everyone somewhere else on his own.
But back to Shep, there was one moment that probably not everybody got, or rather most people surely have but not fully the same. Anybody else having Shep wear his parade uniform as his "casual" clothes? I initially had him put it on to celebrate his return to the Alliance. Then it felt bad for two reasons: 1) realising that he was showing it off while wearing the service camo like everybody else would feel more in touch with the crew, 2) realising that his military rank was ridiculously low and unupdated, so he would actually be taking a significant reduction in his pull if he actually relied on that (as opposed to his Spectre status or more interpersonal relationships or even media clout). So, long story short, he decided to be a patriot and good officer and keep wearing the uniform despite the low rank on it (in reality, uniforms in ME3 are random and inconsistent but anyway). Okay, so anyway, it was cool to see Shep go boxing with James and actually defeat him while in dress uniform. That was a memorable moment.
Another one was in the Hanar Diplomat quest. I couldn't believe I heard Shepard say out loud, very slowly, to a hanar diplomat (after tapping the embassy first, no less): "You big stupid jellyfish". And for no renegade points at that!
