Fernando Melo has been going around saying there would be a patch released this week for DAO, but the only version they released a patch for was the PC, leaving the consoles in the cold. I am demanding at this point that either Bioware supports the game properly or give a proper explanation as to why they lied about all systems getting a patch this week.

I am fed up with them only coming into to answer nonsense questions over DLC and non-problems, and ignoring every major problem that has been reported in this forum.

For god's sake the week only just started.

As for why console patches come out later, common sense would tell you that it's due to more complicated authentication process or patch console games. ie patch for ps3 version has to go through sony, and patch for 360 version has to go through microsoft, both AFTER their own in-house testing.

Still doesnt explain how a low level mod made a blanket statement that makes it sound like consoles would finally get some ****ing support.

Shame that they just lied to our faces and dont care in the least.

The Patch was for the PC which has the fixes that the XBox 360/PS3 version had over the PC version. Now the PC version is just as "fixed" as the console version. Now that the PC version has caught up future patches may include bugs that cover all three versions.

Where do you guys keep getting this from?

From Bioware "Work is continuing on an Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version of this patch. Work is also continuing on fixing more issues for the next patch."

Look at the patch notes. Patch 1.02. What the XBOx 360 and PS3 will get will probably be 1.03.

Agreed that many have allready been fixed but not everyone as it states. "Many of the fixes affecting balance, gameplay, or plot scripting are already included in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 versions of Dragon Age: Origins."

However I do not agree that they are not working 1.02 for Xbox and PS3 as Bioware has stated it is working on a version of 1.02 of this patch. Which means not everything is fixed on the Xbox, or Ps3 that is in the PC patch.

I like drama. I got the popcorn and everything!

Well, we will get it soon enough.  Personally, I don't really need it.  The game works fine for me.

I would like a patch to give us all the fixes to the problems that Bioware refuses to acknowledge.

Melo had no right to post here saying we would be getting a patch when there was no intention to make a patch for the consoles. What he did amounts to nothing less than false advertising and lying to our faces.

Wow, someone needs to take a chill pill. Don't you think it might be a tad extreme to be moaning about no patch for the week when it's...Monday?

Additionally, as Killian has said a patch has been released. The fact that you misconstrued what Melo said is not his fault. Relax. Deep breath.

Not my fault Melo said something that was false. Besides, I went rage mode between starting this and a trip to the store where is was retard central and I almost got hit in the loading zone.

Melo shouldnt have said anything at all or clarified that he was talking about another PC patch and not a patch for all versions of the game which is what he implied by posting a link to his statement about the patch coming out this week with by no means made any distinguishment between the PC and Consoles.

So wait a second. Are you saying that the 360 version has:

No problem with Dwarf Noble robbing your gear.
Proper damage being calculated for daggers.
Redcliff spawns that don't break the night battle.
No Duncan exploit.

And it's your belife that the patch that was just released for the PC brings PC users up to speed with the console versions of the game. I just want to be sure thats what your saying.

It will come soon, hopefully. But really -- being hostile won't make it come sooner you know.

Maybe if they didnt try to make it look like the new patch was for all the systems, then there wouldnt be this problem to begin with, though now every one would be flaming mad over the fact the PC got another patch ahead of us.

Lied? False advertising?

Take a break, seriously. The week's only just begun, and it should be obvious PC patches are more easily made available than their console counterparts.

I will take a break when they start actually coming through with everything they say they will with the console. We havent seen anything mentioned about an actual patch for us outside of the 'We are working on it' excuse that people like you will believe just because they say it.

Your impatience and seeming indignation at the release of the PC patches is causing you to believe that your complaints will actually make a difference. You may feel fervid about this issue, but venting hyperbole will not cause the developers to work any faster.

From what I have seen in that thread, some of the PC players want to go ahead and reverse what the new patch is doing.
