I seriously hope they don't have the whole game based in Orlais, those accents will drive me slowly insane...

One of the things I would like to see in DA3 is the renegade/paragon type triggers like they have in ME2 and ME3 in conversations, or I could say triggered action scenes.

1. choices that matter; decisions that hawke and the warden have made come together
2. warden/darkspawn focus
3. more armor and weapons/ customization of party member's gear

maybe your hawke can become a party member in your imported warden's crew? i think that wpuld be brilliant.

1. Only party member from DAII to return Varric.
2. More impact on choices.
3. Opportunity to import your DAO character straight to DAIII without having to play DAII.
4. Realistic combat, not that super ninja **** from DAII.
5. Either play as Warden or New character. Hawke sucks.
6. At least a 3 year development time. (Remember they made Skyrim for 3 years).
7. Loghain and Morrigan must be in the game.
8. Don't but all your budget into commercialaising the game.
9. No multiplayer it will just take your time and money.
10. Good party like in DAO not that sausage fest from DAII.
11. Opportunity to go to Denerim, Orzammar and Vigils Keep.
12. Song of Ice and fire like politics.
13. Reasonable looking armor and weapons like in DAO, I mean many weapons and armor look so stupid and overpowered in DAII.

Only Varric? And the creator of the entire war?

Just some stuff on combat I would like to see or not see.

Bring back the full tactical cam. I found DA2's cam limiting and frustrating.

Make tactical positioning matter. An enemy should not be able to simply run past my warriors without any repercussions and vice versa. Archers should have difficulty aiming at party members in the back ranks.

In relation to this, allow your party to have formations. Have two Sword and Shield warriors? Allow them to form an impenetrable wall to protect weaker party members. Have a S&S warrior and a two handed warrior? Have them be able to form a back to back formation where the shield warrior bashes enemies and the two hander comes around to smash them for the kill.

Have combat have some gravity to it. I didn't like the faster pace of DA2. It felt unrealistic and cartoonish. When someone gets hit by a two handed weapon they should go flying. In DA2 there was no sense of momentum and force. This was only made worse by enemies that had a gazillion hit points. Get rid of that please. Make combat tactical and challenging through enemy positioning, enemy variety and combat skills, not HP bloat.

Refrain from silly animations. I found myself rolling my eyes at templar assassins in full armor backflipping and dissappearing. Same thing with the two handed warrior spinning and pirouetting with a huge sword. If there is to be any spinning it should convey a sense of winding up to build potential energy then a great slash full of force and momentum that can be seen by the player.

Wasn't there a save generator for DA:O? Perhaps the same could be done for DA2.

No voiced protganist. No paraphrasing. No dominant personality system. No spazzy combat animations. No waves. More visual customisation. More dialogue choices. More environments. More player agency.

General Story Stuff
1) Let dead men lie - if you gave us the option to kill somebody in DA2, and we took it, keep them dead.
2) Make choices matter - Now don't get me wrong I don't need every choice I make to be some world shaping event, but at least let them matter within their own context. If I've been siding with one faction consistently I should not be accused of working for the opposing faction to give a very basic example.
3) Cut the cameos - yes, yes we all have the characters we loved from previous games, however if you're going to have a previous companion or NPC show up make there be a point.
4) Motivation - DA:O gave the player a very basic motivation to go ahead with the quest, if they don't they will die. It's very basic and applies to all characters, if players want to give their characters additional motivations great, but they at least had that one. DA2 on the other hand seems to have dropped any sense of motivation after Act 1. Act 1 - gain money to protect self and family from the Templars, ok. Act 2 - Help the Viscount deal with the Qunari because... Act 3 - Get involved in Meredith and Orsino's squabbling because... You need to establish a base, universal motivation because I didn't care about Kirkwall, I didn't care about the mages, I didn't care about the Templars, and was never presented with any reason Hawke didn't just leave.
5) Why can't I - This was a real problem in DA2 where Hawke wasn't allowed to take certain actions, obvious ones that require no metagaming, but was never given any reason as to why. This conversation should never happen:
"I'm going to kill you,"
"No."
"Well ok then you said no."

Combat Stuff
1) Tone down animations - I didn't mind most of the strike animations, they can get a little silly, but unless I'm a mage I should not be making people explode
2) Combat Control - Let me set up a sword and board blocking a path and have them actually stop people, bring back spells like Grease where I can hinder the enemies movement, stuff like that.
3) In-class Combos - This pertains more to mages than anyone else but let me stack abilities from one class for additional effects. For example if I make somebody brittle and hit them with crushing prison they should shatter. If I stagger somebody and then bash them with my shield it should do extra damage. If I disorient someone and then do a backstab grant a bonus, stuff like that.
4) Kill the waves - Or at least make them sensible, have them pour in from other rooms or side streets don't have them fall from the sky or instantly materialize.
5) Drop class restrictions - with the (possible) exception of mage staves any class should be able to use any weapon, however only the classes they're meant for can use them well (ie. Warriros are the only ones with access to two handed skills, Rogues Archery, etc.). Even with the mage staff why can't I just use it as a quarterstaff?

Minor visual thing
1) The art style, it's just too bright. Relatively speaking of course. Durring the day it's bright it's sunny, that's fine, but unless Thedas has a moon the size of Mars how the hell am I getting this much light at night? Don't even get me started about how well lit underground caves and ruins are. In DA:O when it was supposed to be dark it actually felt dark, the sky at night wasn't a light bluish grey it was black.

Bioware wants to know that you want the public to DA3? dragonexus visit the site and look which is the most downloaded, Origins is as alive as when it came out, fans continue to work for free so that everyone may have his best game, I for my part I will not play again DA2, which I did 2 times and saw no basis on any side. On the other hand with all the mods that I just installed Origins'm going to play for the fourth time now that I have the game almost perfect (almost because I had to sacrifice some texts are in English) I'll slowly enjoy

fundamental work on Windows XP with a medium quality graphics card, as DA2.
A stupid idea? buy the mods to the people of dragonagenexus and adapt to eliminate incompatibilities with some. They already have a multitude of people working for DA3, keep the good graphics of DA2 (except elves are horrible and do all the characters stand and move like in DAO), open world, character customization, better dialogues, weapons and armor-like DAO, as DAO alternate endings and the icing on the cake: to make the partners relate to each other, not only the main character with others and also that the interaction is more free and with mods nexus

My ideas are more about the story than anything, so...

- Even though it seems unlikely, I'd give my soul to be able to see a team-up between the Warden and Hawke, we could play them through different acts, like the first Act as Hawke, the second as the Warden... Dragon Age II's conclusion on Leliana and Cassandra discussing their fates and the fact that they are able to stop the conflict gave me too much hope to abandon this idea.

- I am really excited to see Orlais, and this time from an Orlesian point of view and not an angry Loghain or the poshy nobles we get to see in Kirkwall, but good chevaliers that wouldn't be that bad as some Fereldans would like us to believe. As Orlais is likely to be a land where Templars have more support from the populace, the Imperium could be a nice place to go to also, as there the Mages would surely have more support. It would drive the conflict to a new stage, on the top of that with the civil war in Orlais...

- Talking about the civil war, this would be the best way to re-introduce characters like Alistair/Anora/Loghain (whatever was your choice in Origins) teaming up with Empress Celine I, after all she is fighting the rebels who want to take back Fereldan, it would be the logical choice for the fereldan monarch to ensure the kingdom's safety by supporting the side that wants peace.

- If the Mage/Templar War goes on larger scale with kingdoms and Empires fighting, it could be the best moment to introduce the Anderfels (Maker I would sell an arm to see that). I mean, this war threatens the entire world and if the Warden is involved the First Warden might see the need to get into this business also, moreover Fiona (Grand Enchanter) was formerly a Warden. Finally, the Anders are a pious people and the Grey Wardens are converted to the Chantry, having them assisting the Divine to appease the tensions could be nice.

- Another point for the Wardens, at the end of Legacy it's made clear that Corypheus survived through Larius or Janeka. He was a Magister, and a powerful one, he could get involved into the Tevinter business and if so the Grey Wardens would be forced to act.

Anyway, it's clear that the Mage/Templar War is in all of Thedas, the fact that kingdoms and Empires may get involved is quite logical in a sense, so...

- Adding old faces to the companions if Hawke or the Warden are playable, but please don't change them like Anders... Who would want to see a serious Zevran ?
- Cassandra as a companion, she's cool in both DA2 and Dawn of the Seeker, it wouldn't be fair to neglect her after having made a movie for her.
